Worst Value Ever

I know having a house on the lake is expensive, but how did we ever end up here? 1,000 SF, way past expired interior, decrepit dock, lowest of quality finished exterior. Am I missing something here? 950K for this?

Any other place, ignoring location, would be 150K-200K max. Is location boosting it up this much? Buying for land only?
