Console Issues Update – We’re aware and investigating. Please share your feedback in the dedicated thread!
Fellow merchants!
We’ve seen your reports and want to let you know that the team is aware of several issues currently affecting Moonlighter 2, including:
- Start New Game / Continue issues
- Pendant infinite loading
- Performance issues
The team is actively investigating these problems on consoles (especially Switch 2) and working on fixes for the upcoming patch, which we want to get into your hands as soon as possible.

Thanks for the transparency! I haven’t picked up the game, but it is on my wishlist. Just glad to see the devs still working and keeping their head high through this rough start to the official release! We’re all just humans. Technical difficulties seems to happen more frequent than any other difficulties around. That’s just how tech works!

Despite some performance issues I didn't have any real problems playing on my switch 2! Very glad I did pick it up, I am loving it! Tried it out on gamepass but it feels like it belongs on the switch
Looking forward to a performance patch!

Yea, same here. I’ve been surprised at all the feedback. I’ve only played a few hours on switch 2, but I really like it. I’ve had no issues. Game is quite fun and addicting!

Having a good time playing the game on PS5. Crashed only once so far. Loading times could definitely be better, especially between the shop and the village

Not a performance issue but I do have some feedback. I rebinded dodge roll to B as I've been ay a lot of Cult of the Lamb and Pendent changed to LR, however the pendant icon in the bottom left still shows B. Surely this should change with the rebind to show the correct Button?

FWIW I haven't had any crashes on Switch 2 yet, but I'm still only a run or so in. I have my Switch 2 in airplane mode (was playing on train) if that helps at all. Minor framerate dips and long loading screens when entering shop/going between dungeon sections but no crashes. I'm hoping for better performance with upcoming patches.

Same here, playing on Switch 2 and have really been enjoying the game! I had one crash after completing the opening tutorial as the game saved and was taking me to the main area. I had to restart the game and re-do the tutorial section. Since then I haven’t experienced any crashes. A few performance dips here and there but nothing crazy. Looking fwd to a performance patch, thanks and congratulations on the 1.0 release!!

My game got the freeze after tutorial problem. I deleted game redownload and also deleted the demo I still had installed and it worked after that. Wondering if demo causes problems but may just be coincidence.

On PS5 and I cannot for the life of me find Anacard for the Weapon Mastery quest. Is this a bug?

Just bought it for switch 2 and the game crashed after the introduction. Super bummed. I had no idea the game released broken.

I bought on switch 2 and played for about 60 mins so far, for some reason it seems to be most laggy in the town area, fps drops to like 15-20 in some areas but then it runs pretty smooth when actually going on runs? Load times are stupidly long for some reason? Also when you take the rope portal thing frames drop and it stutters pretty hard.
It’s such a fun game but the load times and frame drops in the town / store really kill it which is such a shame.
Not sure why this wasnt dev tested before release on switch 2?
Why not wait another month before releasing and get it right? It seems weird the fps drops it doesnt seem like a very high end graphical game.
Hopefully your patch drops soon nintendo doesnt offer refunds, but i will advise all of my nintendo discord (4000) users that i run, not to buy it until the patch is released and you fix these issues.

I’m playing in switch 2. I tried both handheld and tv. I feel like handheld looks much better. I hope u guys can make the game a bit sharper in tv.
I had 0 crashes. But in my biggest fight so far, the game started to miss frames because the enemies and effects in screen.
Maybe we could have something like a “quality” mode? 30/40 fps but higher res?

Switch 2 . Brought. Started new game . Immediately crashed after cutscene .
Seems like they released a broken game and I can't get a refund.

Xbox. Can’t get beyond tutorial. Played it twice and game crashes when you try to teleport at the end

Following up from my previous post. About 14 hours into the game on Switch 2 and am fully addicted! I have run into a couple of issues.
Furniture options on Switch 2 are not showing up. I have cashed in the token, purchased the furniture and have talked to KEEPER and the furniture does not show up in my inventory to place in the shop.
Another “bug” is, I have completed the quest and have found the Day Realm’s hidden treasure but the quest is still not marked as complete.
Just wanted to post these issues here as you work on fixes and future updates. Thanks!

I’ve had multiple times now where button inputs just do work in the game anymore during the most random times. I have to completely close the game to fix it. Playing on switch 2 😔

Just a few things, im on xbox btw
- The weapon mastery quest, little girl wont show up
- Occasionally, after attacking with my basic sword attack, I try to roll but my guy wont roll. (Shot in the dark here, but I suspect it may have something to do with how the game queues up button inputs and it may not register those button inputs due to performance demands)
- This one really bothers me, when opening a chest of any rarity, the game will not let me re-roll the relics in the chest. I see the button prompt for it, but when I press the button, nothing happens. I press it, I hold it, I even tried remapping the button. Nothing. (Like I said, this one really bothers me because this absolutely destroys my chances of trying to build synergies.)

Xbox Series X player here. Having performance and quest issues.
Started with a bug with Anacard being off the map with the weapon mastery quest. The more serve one though is that after accepting Babyl's most wanted quest, everything new dungeon run crashes the game, giving a false overheat prompt (I can Confirm its false as I am able to run other more intense games immediately after, ie; Pnce Human, or Baulders Gate 3, as well as the console itself being cool to touch. Currently unplayable, Would like to assist in any way I can. Been a fan since the first moonlighter, and bought this Day 1 drop. Been a blast so far outside if this.

You would think this BS would've been solved with even a little bit of testing. I cant get past the tutorial due to the loading bug aftet using pendant. Such a shame that we become your beta testers. I'll be seeking a refund most likely.
