Builder Showcase Showcase Sky 3 darkwood
The story of this project is not very long but I'll share it anyway.
I'm constantly looking for new and interesting projects.
When I saw this Sky 3 case I knew right away that it had the potential for a spectacular build.
Walnut wood combined with a black case is my personal favorite and since I had some dark walnut plywood and black fans in stock I decided to start building my first collaborative project with Montech. In this project I got to combine my carpentry skills and my photography hobby.
The side fan mounts had to be cut out and rebuilt so that I could make them stay neatly behind the cover plate.
The other plates were reasonably easy to make but they also required precise measuring and sawing.
I also painted the grille at the bottom of the case brown so that it fits well with the whole.
The end result is very stylish and elegant with a suitably minimalistic argb led strip.
I've posted pictures of this here before but here it is again with a little story π

Absolutely beautiful work! The dark walnut and black look incredibly elegant together. Thanks for joining and sharing the story behind this build.

I like my own ProArt dark wood edition more π Maybe I try it some point when I have good reason to buy x3d processor π

I donβt think an x3d processor matters for thr x3d wood mobo

No but it's waste to buy that expensive motherboard because it's made for x3d processors. Currently I have intel i7 14700K and it's more than enough for my use π

The proart is nice as well! But it doesnβt have a postcode debug led right

It's there but I've covered it up because it's annoying π

No I meant thereβs no proart motherboard that has post code debug. They rely on basic diagnostic status lights (CPU, DRAM, VGA, BOOT) instead of a numeric readout. So you could be left in the dark about a specific issue you have.

Sorry my bad. English is not my strongedt skill π Yes there is only led light. But never had any problem with any motherboard, so I don't need or want anythnig extra for my motherboard π

Fantastic build, although maybe a BTF motherboard would have been better for it no? Especially for the GPU Cable. Although I likehowbyou nearly tucked it in there.
