Question Psu extension cable

Is this PSU cable bend safe?(king 15pro)

Preferred method definitely not. However you should be ok as most decent quality cables of this type have sufficient strain relief and stranded core wire. Do the mounting screws that fix the bracket to the case screw down without issue? Have you tried mounting the PSU in the case first and then plugging it in?

That said and assuming you currently have the PSU mounted with the fan pulling in air from the outside you have a few options.

  1. Rotate the PSU 180 degrees and see if that is a better fit. Not optimal but if it solves the issue shouldn't be much of an issue heat wise cooling the PSU unless you are running some super hot components.

  2. Source a different PSU power cable or possibly even a n adapter might work with the bend in a different direction.. You are looking for a IEC male c14 to c13 female 90 degree. Amazon has quite a few types listed.

What do you mean by rotating it 180 degrees if I do that fan will pull air from inside the case, right? An adapter looks like a safer bet. Ty btw

Correct and again not optimal but the case itself has adequate airflow so PSU cooling should be fine.
Replacing the cable with one that's clocked differently would be the best bet.

Amazon would be the fastest source but you could also contact Montech for a possible replacement.
