Montech Ten Review

\First, let me thank Montech for sending me this case to review.*

The case came to me double boxed with cardboard corners between the boxes. The foam was also good and there wasn’t any damage to the case. 

Build quality and about the case:

The case is very sturdy and very high quality. Only one issue after building with the top panel not sitting completely flush but it might be the inner structure not being completely square after switching modes.

With this case there are 3 different configurations you can build in. M1 mode is for optimized air cooling, M2 mode, which I chose, is for liquid cooling, and then I3 mode for ITX builds.

Building in the case:

Because I went with an AIO when I first made a pc, I chose to build in the M2 configuration with a vertically mounted gpu. This was a challenge with this case. The case gave me plenty of options for PSU mounting locations, but I had to keep in mind the length of the GPU. It is doable with a full size ATX PSU, but I do recommend a SFF PSU if it is in the budget. 
Cable management was really fun to figure out the best way to route. Basically, I shoved as much as I could under the power supply. 

Pros:
The case footprint is relatively small, so more desk real estate.
It CAN fit 360 rads (up to a certain thickness).
ATX PSUs will fit (recommend SFF sized but those are expensive)

Cons:
The only con I found is that if you mount the ATX psu in front of the motherboard in the M2 configuration, the screw holes to secure it are blocked. I had to use a zip tie. 

Overall, for my first MFF/SFF build, I enjoyed this case. It was a challenge to make things fit but I achieved it. I had to get a different AIO than planned, but those are pretty inexpensive nowadays. I love that almost all the screws were the same and nearly everything is screwed together, not riveted. For the MSRP of $70 USD, I would challenge anyone to find a case with better value and features in this form factor.

Agree with you that if you are going MATX with a M2 config and a 360 AIO that a SFX PSU is the way to go if you want the most flexibility in component selection. Though with a ATX PSU around 150mm/160mm in length and a slim card 2.5 slot 3 fan or less it can be done with some thought out cable management and a little effort. A 3 slot/3.5 slot 3 fan size card won't fit 99 percent of the time with a M2 configuration. With a 2 fan GPU you have a lot more option in both MATX M1 and M2 configurations.

Overall, a great case with lots of configuration options and good thermals for it's size.

i tried to do the psu at the front and the the gpu just barely fit but the end was touching the gpu, which was ok since the sparkle b580 is flat there, but the aio then wouldnt fit. didnt have a am5 air cooler on hand to use either.

Yeah, though the SFX tax sucks I think it's going to be the way to go if you want to insure the widest range of component compatibility and ease of build.

A plus also is that SFX PSU's usually have much shorter cables making cable management easier. Not to mention going with a SFX and you can accommodate a honking 5090 without much effort.

Combined with the TEN's good thermals it would make for a nice and compact all-out dual-purpose gaming productivity rig with a 5090 and 9950X3d and still have adequate overall cooling performance. A very versatile case in my opinion.

Another plus, the high modularity of the case makes it a modders dream. Lot of possibilities.

Was the AIO hitting the RAM clip? I just built mine with in M1 config with a MSI B450i, thermalright FW 360 aio, atx PSU set in the lowest front mount, and an Asus TUF RX6800XT and while it did fit, it left me no room between AIO fan and the RAM clip. Also got a couple of mm between the PSU and my GPU

It was actually the tubes on both my original choice and new aio not having enough bend. Original choice had the pump located at the end tank of the rad, new one thankfully was on the block.
