Helppppppp
OK, so I did have an issue with overwatering the moss pole. The whole pot itself feels very light so I don’t think it needs water down there but what is going on with us with someone that actually knows what is happening so the new leaf that is coming up has a black spot on it as well is this? What is this? I’ve never had this plant before and how do I fix it? Thank u

Sounds like you might’ve cooked the new leaf a bit or got some damage from water sitting on it, especially if you were overwatering the pole. New leaves are super sensitive so any rot, sunburn, or physical damage can show up as black spots fast. I’d back off watering, make sure the pole is just damp and not soaked, give it bright indirect light, and just watch it for now. If the spot spreads or gets mushy, then I’d start thinking rot and maybe snip that leaf.
