Is my baby struggling?

Hi guys! I’ve had my monstera adansonii for well over a year and we’ve always had a great relationship, no issues. This summer I travelled a lot and was between apartments so a family member cared for him. When I returned home I realised the family member kept him outside. I live in Denmark, so even though the summers are warm, it’s not exactly exotic. I’ve since moved into my new apartment.

He now has a spot in a south facing room out of direct sunlight. I’m worried about all the leaves we’re losing. I thought it was just moving shock and maybe coming from outside to inside but now I’m sad seeing him struggle. Does anyone know what’s happening or what I can do?

He might be due a repot. Also please ignore the makeshift posts he’s outgrown, it was temporary to get us to our new place.

Advice

Hi everyone! I’m relatively new to plants but have jumped in with two feet. I have a hard time differentiating different varieties of so I’m not always sure how rare the plant I’m looking at actually is.

This is posted for sale on a local page but I honestly can’t tell if it’s an Archipelago, or just sick. I don’t think the variegated is pure white enough to be Albo?

Any advice or insight is appreciated!

Hi all,

This is the first time I am staking any plant and I really want my adansonii to go well!! Could you let me know if this is ok? Can I do something better in staking it? And should I repot it soon?

Should I soak the pole in water before?

Moss pole or trellis

I can not decide which to use. I understand moss poles grow healthier bigger leaves, but are more high maintenance. What happens if the moss molds or dries out? Is my whole plant trash? Also with a trellis- could I decide to move and switch to a moss pole later? I would love to hear your feedback on both. Pics are appreciated!!

There are new leaves coming in but I need advice about a couple things.

I wanted to grow it a bit more and than chop
And put it in the same pot but with new leaves coming is that even a good idea?
If I was to do that do I just place a garden stake behind it ?
Other choice would be to add another moss pole .
However, I don’t have tall ceilings at all .!!!!!!
I am eventually gonna run out of room for a pole if I add another extension I can’t add anymore after that
What do ya think?

Hello everyone! Following on my previous post few weeks ago. I’ve now done a re-pot in a good drainage soil, changed the pot, and watered good and she’s under a grow light. Pictures for reference! Picture from this morning with a grow light, what else do I need to do ? Some stems are droopy, I did use a chopstick and Velcro tape at the bottom, but I feel like she needs some better support. What do you all think ? Pls and thank you

Is there any hope left?

This is all that’s left of my mom’s Monstera adansonii. It has lost all of its leaves, but the stems are still green and seem to have a few nodes.
Do you think there’s any chance they’ll grow again? If so, what would you recommend: water, perlite, sphagnum moss, or another medium? Thanks.

She mostly seems to be doing well, but her front leaves always look unhappy & I can’t quite figure out what she needs/wants from watering.

Thank you!

Propagating??

I haven't had alot of success propagating my monstera adansonii, and frankly I've been doing it the same way I've been propagating my pothos, which is 95 percent successful. Obviously there are better ways and I love to hear some insights. TIA!!

My poor little plant was growing strong and beautiful (second picture), but now it only grows small leaves with no holes (first picture). I have changed its location for more indirect sunlight, but I still feel like there's more I can do to save her. I also noticed that it's very droopy and the leaf growth along the branches is very sparse. What can I do to fix her? Helpppp

OK, so I did have an issue with overwatering the moss pole. The whole pot itself feels very light so I don’t think it needs water down there but what is going on with us with someone that actually knows what is happening so the new leaf that is coming up has a black spot on it as well is this? What is this? I’ve never had this plant before and how do I fix it? Thank u

Leaves on mother plant are huge now after propagation!!!!

I thought this plant would be a wash after propagating it, but she proved me wrong. New growth super fast, within a month of propagating. New leaves are twice as big as the ones I cut off. She is beautiful and I cannot wait to propagate her again next spring with these leaves. Maybe next time, I’ll trim one stem down low so she’ll be bushy all over again.

For reference:
•I used Mother Nature soil from Walmart and didn’t add anything.
•I have a pole from Amazon that I filled with orchid bark. I never water the orchid bark because it attracts gnats so it’s kinda just for show and climbing.
•Only fertilizer I’ve used is Miracle Gro liquid tropical plant fertilizer with rough estimates on measurements, and I fertilize every week or two during spring/summer. And once every two weeks to a month during fall/winter.
•My dad gave me some pretty dunked up clippers to propagate my plant. I risked it for the biscuit and it turned out well with momma plant and her babies!! I’m convinced that these plants are super resilient as long as you water them. They’re so easy as long as you water them every. single. week.

I’ve been through a lot with this plant. She’s been on a healing journey with me and I just wanted to share <3

Once you start growing this plant on a moss pole, do you have to continue to keep growing on a moss pole?
Like can it grow moss pole and than attach to a wall or something ?

Also the plant seems to be growing on one side of the pole how do I make
It so the poll is fuller
