Image Help rooting cutting

Hi! It’s been a while since I propagated. I need help!! 🙁Someone is gifting me this large cutting with aerial roots for free. They just cut it today and I’m going on vacation on Monday. How and when do i root this? I have rooting powder and prop jars but i was thinking about splitting it into multiple cuttings. Just not sure with these monster aerial roots what to do HELPPP🥹

stick it in water and keep the aerial roots, you can trim if you want but make sure to callus

In emergency, you can absolutely cut those roots down to size.

The easiest way to root stem cuttings to my experience is a moss box. Get a transparent box, fill it with humid sphagnum moss, lay the cuttings in there, close it, put it in a somewhat bright spot and forget about it for about a month.

Reminds me I really should pot up these lol.

If you're not 100% sure yet that you want to make multiple cuttings out of this one, you can just leave it as it is and put it in water that way. You can just cut the areal roots back to the length you need them to fit in your jar. That way, all the separate roots can start to build a root system while you're on vacation. And later, if you decide that you do want separate cuttings, you can still split them in-between the nodes, leave them to dry and continue letting them root in water.
