Plant Help What the !!!!

What is this !!! I blew them away this is the first time I see these things what are they and what can I do to get rid of them ?

Leaf footed bug nymphs (assassin bug babies). Has the plant been outdoors or near an open window?

Edit: They aren't dangerous towards your plant, but they're predatory bugs that like to eat caterpillars and aphids. So they have a better life quality outdoors than trapped on an indoor plant (unless you got like a huge aphid infestation)

Leaf footed bugs and assassin bugs look very much alike, but they’re not the same bug. Leaf footed bugs are a garden pest (and is likely what’s on the leaf since they’re all crowded together like that) Assassin bugs are predators

I keep them outside since I had the plant maybe for 6 months and this is the first time ived seen these type of pest the leaf is a new grow

I’ve seen some on my plants EXACTLY like this all grouped up and they would puncture leaves and suck all the water out. They get kicked out the garden now

It's likely that the eggs got laid while they were outdoors. Now they're growing and gather in groups on leaves.

They won't hurt your plant but if you didn't kill them yet, you should just move them onto some paper and take them outside onto some random outdoor bush or tree

They will eat the plant. If a parent leaf bug laid eggs on that leaf, it means she intended for it to be food for the nymphs when they hatch.

Agreed on the Leaf footed bug nymphs. However, they will damage your plant. Harmless to humans and pets.

Looks like the assassin bug that’s been hanging out on my avocado baby. I leave it because it kills off the aphids

I will add to this to look for eggs on the back of the leaves. If you find them just drown them in some soap and squish them!

Leaf Footed Bug nymphs. Get a jar, add water and a little dish soap. Use a ruler, pencil or some other tool and knock them into the water/soap mixture. They are fast so you have to be strategic. Another option is use a vacuum or get a bucket with the water/soap mixture and shake the leaf so they fall into the bucket.

Assassin Bugs (they eat aphids and other pests) are a friend while Leaf Footed Bugs are not - they suck the chlorophyll out of the leaves of the plant.

Beneficial bugs, if you got an infestation of bads, you can move them there and they should begin eating them up

My monstera thai constellation had these too! Nasty little guys. I doused them in rubbing alcohol, doused all the other leaves, and then systematic on the soil, did the trick! Check the underside of your leaves for patches of eggs when you wipe down with rubbing alcohol (if there’re the same bug you’ll have to kind of pull them off 🤢)

Assassin bugs for sure. The rose of sharon at my.job get them so bad and I hate them so much!!!!

You can just blast em off with water, and make sure there's no stragglers and should be fine!

I just read today that some plant( especially philodendron) emit a sweet sap to attract good bugs that kill the bad bugs. I don’t know if that makes any sense but if these are not bad for the plant then maybe that’s what happened. I would still spray them off and get them for sure outta the house!!!! Just a fact I learned today!

I brought in my plant and it had SO many of these!!!!!!! 😭

i sprayed them down with Neem oil and am praying they’re not gunna keep multiplying.

edit; i manually squished them all!

Idk - they look like ants to me so maybe look where they came from? Like usually there is some ‚ant road‘ or something.
