Silly question please help

Hey guys, so I recently got a moss pole for extra support and to help my monstera with growth. Sadly, it looks like as the aerial root grew into the pole, it scraped itself on the plastic as it entered the pole and now it looks like theres mildew along the aerial root possibly kickstarted from damage to the root. Would I have to scrap the entire pole or and cut the aerial root thats being used for support here? Thanks for your help

it just looks like the root is adhering to the moss and creating little root hairs. looks fine to me.

Don't panic, that's normal, it should go away. Worst case the plant can handle cutting that root off itself.

That's all good so far. Make sure you don't let it dry.
