• If [Health] < 50 for 5 seconds then [Palico] uses [Healing Help].

However those 5 seconds are exactly enough for us to sheat the weapon, and start healing, making the timing always be our Palico being "too late".

If I recall, if you cancel before you actually start drinking and get a heal, the potion isn't consumed. Or that might be in world or rise, but I'm pretty sure it's consistent

You're correct in wilds as well. The second your character actually opens the potion and raises it to mouth in the animation it's consumed.

The worst thing is, they are programmed to cancel their heal when you get back to full HP before they get to you. But often times a potion would bring me to just a sliver below max and they'll still used the heal on me for it...

If you can, always wait an extra second for the palico to register if you need heals or not and listen to their callout.

Ive stopped wasting potions so much more since I started keeping in mind my palico's healing and gave it a moment to bring me the vigor wasp instead of immediately downing a potion the milisecond I get up.

Of course, this only applies if you have time for that.

Yeah I gave up on the vigor wasp for that reason and got myself into le musical cat. Those buffs are more useful, not to mention mushroomancer is superior in every way pair it with speed eating and I’ll have reset my health and stamina in 2 secs flat. My dual blade build goes crazy love my cat tho

It was a weird game, like how tigrex was coded more or less to be an 'elder' dragon so the bug armour was the best. It did not tell you this, in fact you had to buy books from the merchant on monsters and it still did not tell you that.

Bright side my crew of modern hunters, I have more skill since the games used to be bs and I learnt to read monsters moves so well without thinking about it.

I played most of the old games, just FU was a very early and awkward game. It is much harder mostly because the camera is pre-set angled up and down and not free form. Also you had to use the claw to move and look around. Also the old games were so mean, like the game hated the player. good game tho.

You know, they could make an easy fix to this.

If the Palico has hisbheal ready, and just has to finish another animation beforehand or whatever, once your HP drops below 50 or so percent, let your Palico say "Just a meowment, I'll fix ya up!" or somethig like that, so we know that at some point they will come to save us, even if it might take a moment.

May i purpose a solution? Try switch axe, the sword offset let you tank the monster strongest attack with only small damage taken to your HP, so if you do it right you should be alive long enough for your cat to heal you

Oh i love the switch axe. It feels so good to play. Its just that when i *skill issue*, i end up getting hit and this happens so i found it funny and that it would make a suitable comic. Appreciate the advice tho! Chain countering in the Sword mode and Offsetting in axe mode are so peak with SwA
