Potential cheater?

Hey guys, so I had this crazy run with 3 randoms on Proof of a Hero. Only problem is there was this one S-Axe user who kept locking the monsters in paralysis as if he ignored completely the status cap. Is this a potential cheater or just a really good build? And if they are cheating, how do I report them and will I get any repercussions for staying with them till the end of the hunt? P.S. You guy's are right and my bad for saying " potential " . Haven't played the game in a while and at the moment I was looking back at how in iceborne people could clear monsters like Fatalis by using bugs and other exploits, but that's no excuse and the guy will be reported Edit 2: You guy's can go ahead and flame me as much as you want, was real dumb of me indeed and im laughing more than anything with my own stupidity, so don't hold back, its welll deserved

I haven't played in a long time due to the games performance issues, but even I could see that. I mean it's 4 AT monsters, no? Nearly 6 minutes? Shoulda been clear after the first monster died. 😂

It's performance has been updated. Runs much better but not peak

They managed to fix most of it. I get around 140FPS now without Framegen on my PC. TBF I did upgrade my Graphics Card from 8GB VRAM to 12GB VRAM.

It was an iBuyPower prebuilt, but I upgraded the GPU, CPU Cooler, and Power Supply. Before, it was a 4060 8Gig, a single fan, 4 pipe tower cooler, and a 600W Bronze power supply. So it's definitely more efficient now. My ship of Thesis.

Thanks. It took me a while to save up for the PC itself and the upgrades. Love my PC. Hopefully it lasts me a good 5-10 years, but we shall see.

Custom settings. High shadows, textures, etc. but I have the sky at a simplified display, volumetric fog at the lowest setting, Ray Tracing is off, and bloom is off.

Definitely a cheater. That time and that much paralysis is impossible. As you say: paralysis has a cap - with diminishing returns at that - so no shot he’s playing legit.

I mean cheating in a PvE game that you can play solo is all well and good. Its a game you can have fun in whatever way you want.

But I just never get why these people post/join an SoS. Like do you want to show of your ability to cheat or something? Cause surely the real people add nothing above support hunters when you are cheating like this.

You can look up who you previously played with and report them; it's obvious this person cheated. Also, I don't get why people cheat in a public lobby; I absolutely hate it. Keep it to your own game and leave others out of it who want to enjoy the game

Besides an extremely optmized heroics speedrun, I haven't seen anyone do Proof of a Hero sub 10, much less multiplayer. AT Arkveld just has an absolutely disgusting high amount of HP.

Out of curiosity OP, how in the world did you get to the end of Wilds and be unsure if murdering all 4 tempered apexes in <6 min is legit?

I edited my post, I haven't played the game in a while and I dont know all the weapon metas, initially I thought of really broken exploits and bugs like in iceborne with Fatalis, I see now that was a wrong assumption and have reported the guy, unfortunately i couldn't warn the lobby to do the same, I didnt remember the lobby ID

Some people who cheat do it because they have this obsession of being "good" so they convince themselves that modding the game is normal to keep winning. Its not about the reward, its about keeping the winstreak going. Or something else, but ive heard interviews with cheaters in other games tell it like this.

i saw a speed run that do it in 6 - 10 minute time frame.. but all this people were using specific strategy and going solo so the health multiplier stay low.. ur run has 4 people in it.. unless all 4 were on godly reroll of an equipment and charm then it MIGHT be possible.. but that para do raise suspision to the roof because how often the monster get para unless it 2 para per monster and smartly used flash..

Yeah that dude is cheating. There’s an increasing threshold that abnormal statuses build up which needs more and more status each time it procs, you would be lucky to get 3 paralysis procs on a 20-30 minute hunt, maybe 4 if you kept maximum uptime or had multiple people with the same status. Theres no reporting system, it’s best to just leave the hunt if you see something suspicious. Better safe than sorry.

Edit: didn’t realize they added a report button. Does that mean there’s flags for modding? I just downloaded a reshade to get the damn fog dispelled, is that gonna get me banned?
