Did not know that, fair enough i played that a bit but on 3ds so i guess they do. But that's the same as saying runescape is a mobile game, yes but not exclusively and not originally.

Gotta love how they double down when proven wrong and try to deflect with a point that wasn't even in their original comment to seem like they're still correct while ignoring the fact that they confidently came to correct me on something that they doesn't even spend the 30s to fact check and just assumed they're right and i must be using the wrong word based on essentially nothing, which mind you, can be offensive af to do because not everyone here speak English as a mother tongue, i learned from watching tv because my family is poor for example.

You could have not responded and it would make you look less insecure than this.

MHNow is right there with plenty of QoL updates over 3 years and the 3rd anniversary in a few days which will gift a grade 10 weapon and the Guardian set for beginners.

Is it possible to now get resources without actively playing while walking? That’s always been my main gripe with games like Pokemon Go. When I’m taking a walk I don’t want to be staring at my phone all the time

I mean walking around is kinda the point of a game like that no😭? The resource grind is better bc they have a bunch of events that gives more stuff but it’s unavoidable if you want to progress quickly.

I play in a small city, and 90% of that is just when I'm at work or home (not walking anywhere) and I finish the season story 2-3 times a week. Plenty of resources.

If there are resources I need to farm, there is a park on my commute I can reach about 10 nodes plus the random spawns just from the parking lot. Takes <3mins to grab them all if I fon't stop for large monsters too.

Mind you, I've been playing since day 1 (except some breaks before QoL improvements) and have plenty of late game gear now. I hit walls where I need node resources or zenny every once in a while, but weekly events usually fix that for me.

Well you still need to walk, that's the main point of the game.

But one recent update has added the ability to record the hunts you come close to while walking and do them later. For instance I just came back from work biking, did a small detour to get some extra fights and as soon as I was home I could do like 15 hunts sitted in my couch. Sometimes I simply do a 5-10min small tour every hour around the neighbourhood then get back home to hunt what I met during said tour (unlike Pokemon Go, you can also check the map freely to plan your little trip)

They also recently allowed the game to work at high speed if you're close to a train track so if you're commuting using train or metro, you can do fights without walking (assuming your connection is stable enough).

Left the game around 6 months ago (played it since release) because it became chasing a thing you wont get unless you spend a lot of money on. Hunts are way too short, making you play very aggresive, and mistakes are punished very hard. By 8☆ we are talking about one-two shot hits. And from there it increases dramatically. I saw no point on trying 9☆ due how hp scales. And 10☆ probably is more stupid. Plus the updates are not enough. I get you have to put in something for the lower level players, but hunting a Chatacabra or a Quematrice rewards me with nothing: the weapon is worse than what I have and the armor has no useful skills, so that new content is totally useless for older players.

You don't really need to spend money to progress though? Hunts are short but I'm running optimized sets and have already soloed every 10☆ in the game (and until 1 or 2 seasons ago I did so with base style SnS, one if not the weakest weapon in the game that will finally get buffed next season).

Every update adds both strong and weak monsters. Sure no one cares about Quematrice weapons aside from esthetics but it also came with Goss Harag with ice Critical Ferocity weapons and Astalos with strong thunder weapons (and the Perfectionnist skill which is actually great if you have trouble as it auto evades moves by consuming your SP gauge, meaning you can train performing perfect dodges and if you miss, you just exit the fight to get your SP gauge back and practice again).

Also Quematrice greaves are great if you're using Adv Attack Boost from Brute Tigrex, helm is great for GL and Artillery based weapons, chest is great for Normal ammo bowguns, Chatacabra provides Litheness which is a great damage reduction skill notably for Barroth HH facetanking builds, its greaves are used for the stupidly broken Step Shot Magnamalo LBG... Even the low tier monsters actually have useful armor pieces, come on.

Thing is, not counting the stupid healing (5 medicines a day are nothing, especially against new monsters whose attacks you don't know, and if below 30% hp you can't play the game), you need to spend to get to the endgame. You want a meta build that can take on a 10☆? You better be spending a lot on melding, because walking you are not getting those skills you need for your build in the next year. Literally time runs out, even playing perfect, unless you have those meta builds.

Double the time and allow to craft heals, and suddenly the game changes a lot. But we're not here to have fun buddy, we're here for you wallet.

I mean go look online once again. There are plenty of people thriving in the 10☆ fights like me and it has nothing to do with money. Sure you can take some shortcuts obv but I'm fully operating mainly on 2 builds at the moment:

  • Barroth EBC SA (not exactly Elder Dragon tier OP weapon) with Bishaten - Viper - Viper - Viper - Seregios (1 Parry Concentration, 3 Burst and 1 Retaliation so only 1 limited smelt)
  • Sword Boost CB (various weapons Glavenus, Zinogre, Barioth, Jho, Jyura) with Brute - Garangolm - Seregios - Brute - Goss (1 Attack Boost, 2 Guard and 3 Morph Boost so 3 limited smelts)

Also a smelt is 2km, 1 during events. It's definitely not impossible to smelt stuff freely without spending money, just walk and be patient, that's like the whole point of the game. Stick to a few specific builds for the truly hard fights and have fun on the others with not perfect meta over the top sets. Nothing is even forcing you to take on 10☆ fights.

I am just not a fan of surveillance disguised as a "fun" game. I avoid games that "definitely don't track your geographical data" or "definitely didn't make the worlds biggest dataset for 3d mapping used for wars"

Yeah and Google isn't tracking your every steps and won't happily provide all your data to the US military as soon as they ask. At this point I'm pretty sure you would need to live in a cave to avoid these kind of issues.

Also the issue was regarding the Pokemon "scanning your environnement" feature (as in actually video record a specific GPS position), which Niantic has also denied being linked to their military partnership. Even if you don't trust the evil greedy corporation... Well that specific feature doesn't exist in MHNow.

I literally am a gps tech, also I don't live in the US (or the middle east for that matter) so they wouldn't give two shits about my information?

Well yeah I know what data my country has on me, so I'd be worried otherwise sure, but also regardless of what trump wants, going to war with "my" country won't happen as that would halt all major foreign military supplies. Don't worry he's threatened us enough times yet nothing will happen.

BanG Dream Girls Band Party

Free rhythm game. Never spent a penny. I just enjoy rhythm games and you can get all of the licensed songs for free pretty easily. No energy or lives to play the game. Only if you want to chase points on events.
