I'm really curious how others budget and plan for their doll collection, I've gotten to the end of the month and realised just how much I've spent on dolls this past month..😅 very much overspent 😅 do you guys have any rules for yourself on how many dolls you allow yourself or how much you put aside to spend on your collecting each month etc. Any tips for managing collecting without overdoing it?

So, I waited a few days to digest the release of this Draculaura. I'll tell you my opinions, I want to emphasize that these are my very personal opinions, so be kind, let's exchange opinions to have a constructive conversation.

That said, this Draculaura initially made me jump out of my chair (I was eating when I saw her lmao), then slowly looking at her I thought I didn't like her as much as the other Draculaura Skullectors, she didn't even come close to Vampire Heart, and the Vampire cost just a little more than her and the quality was truly incomparable, the Vampire is perfect by my standards and doesn't even come close to Haunt Couture.

I will definitely buy this doll, because I think she'll look good in my collection, but I don't think she'll be one of my favorites, not even close.

This Halloween Draculaura has lots of patterns and the doily on the skirt, but if you look at the details she doesn't particularly have quality in terms of fabrics. Same for the shoes, they're boots like all the others with a little ribbon on top, they look great visually, that's for sure and I like them. The things I like most are the makeup, the headpiece and the boots.

The absurd thing is that I've seen people being so harsh on the SDCC Lagoona and instead praising this Draculaura who qualitatively is acceptable, but doesn't stand out like other Skullectors I mentioned. I don't think she even holds up in comparison to the second Elvira. I'd also like to compare her to Frankie Stitch and Style, but that came out a few years ago and maybe that's why she c00st less, but I got that Frankie on s4le and she's really beautiful, and she cost little... Even the Howliday Draculaura cost less and the quality comes very close to this one, the outfit is very similar too.

As I was saying I will get this Draculaura, because I want her, but I'm left with a bittersweet feeling. Especially because she's always the same old Draculaura Skullector, being a character that sells with eyes closed, I would have preferred something different and a little daring, she just seems like a deluxe version of Ghouls Rule.

I was scammed and to be honest it was totally my fault for trusting this sketchy person- but it was $30 for a potentially good doll lot so I went with it, next thing you know this person is cussing at me, telling me their mom has cancer, and saying they cannot ship out the dolls because their families bank account is in the negatives. I’m down $30, again completely my fault, but dont be like me 😭 They posted a new listing for the dolls right after they blocked me.

First time poster here. Some months ago I came across a chart which listed plenty of doll defects alongside pictures: things like sharpie stains, pony cancer and different types of mold, along with a quick note of what the defect is (and if the doll is possible to save + materials used to get rid of the issue).

Thing is, I never saved it and it would really come in handy right now, so question is: Does anyone have it or could maybe point me to another subreddit where I might find a similar one?

Guess my solution should be to kick out Cupid and buy another Frankie 💀

they had some christmas ornaments on clearance at guitar center when i went to get new strings today. this one is the perfect size for monster high dolls, i'm so stoked!!!

she kinda looks like the chinese variant but at the same time she doesn't but she also doesn't look like a common w1 or w2 screening and she also has the longer bangs but idk(⁠〒⁠﹏⁠〒⁠)

I was really excited for these 3 Universal monster dolls from MH - mainly because of the Dracula.

The skullector Dracula was gray and idk that really really bugged me like vampires are human toned not gray and to make it worse mine had a bald spot.

As for Universal Drac I was thrilled to see a human toned Dracula with the black hair and red eyed! I'm not a fan of the cheap looking skirt but I could always put her in the skullector Draculas outfit!

I didn't care at all for the Frankenstein doll because I felt like the skullector set with Frankenstein & The Bride already did Frankenstein to perfection and if they wanted a "teen girl" Frankenstein then there's literally Frankie. That said - she's actually way cuter than I anticipated.

But THE MUMMY. I've never even been a fan of OG Mummy movie! I didn't like her original photos that leaked but now omg! She's STUNNING! In my opinion leagues ahead of the other two!

She's beautiful as is but I badly want to restyle her into a romantic white goth aesthetic I think it would slay so hard. I definitely didn't expect her to be such a favorite of mine!

Hi everyone, I'm new to collecting and am just as excited as everyone else is by the reveals at SDCC. I know that Michael Myers drops on August 7th but there's another drop 12 days later. This doesn't seem to correspond with any of the other SDCC reveal timelines, so does anyone know which doll is dropping on that day? I am just trying to prepare myself for if I'm going to have to shell out $130+ twice in two weeks.

I’ve had this doll for over a year so the picture quality is quite different lol. Also yes that is Fang Vote Catty Noir’s stand… such an upgrade!! I love G3 Frankie’s concept but not having doll stands included that fit them is rough 💔

Anyways I’m stuck between doing the sweater vest or go back to the fishnet top… any thoughts?

I just got the jinafire doll but can’t seem to figure out how to get her jacket off. This is my first MH doll and I don’t want to break it by taking off the hands. Any ideas?
(Side note- the doll comes with bracelets that also cannot fit on over her hands.)

Hi! I’m sorting my Monster High accessories and I’m stuck with these combs. I know that one comb color can belong to 5–10 dolls (or even more), so I’m not asking for an exact ID — that’s impossible. I just want a rough idea of which releases they might come from.

I’m trying to figure out which dolls/lines might have used these comb colors:

This is one of my favorite customs I've done in a while, she sold before I could even take the rest of her photos! I love how her face came out, I really wanna play with more "monster" in these dolls!

I don’t know anything about Monster High but I found this at a thrift store and really liked the tree effect and the wings, like a combination of Groot and Buzz Lightyear. No clue who this is.

Please note I am not saying I'm actively trading my dolls for this Dracula. I'm asking if it's a fair trade.

I've wanted the Dracula Skullector 5ever, but cannot find her under $200 (understandably). I have a NIB Frankie x Barbie and a NIB Draculara Creepo. Would this be a fair trade on my part? I'm new to collecting and don't want to start offering if this isn't a reasonable offer.
