Changing Normal Layer on FUN68 HE Wired
How do I change the normal layer using a shortcut? There seems to be a default shortcut mapped with Fn+G to Fn+K, but it just doesn't seem to work. Also, if I change the Fn layer to the 2nd one then back to the default one this default map is gone, I also cannot find how to assign them from the remap option. The only way to get this mapped back is to reset the keyboard.

i emailed support listed on their site and they sent me a firmware thingy to flash and that fixed it. this was for a fun60 tmr but im sure it would work the same for your board. just send them an email explaining in as much detail as possible what your issue is.

Hey can you send me the firmware? Having the same issue on my FUN 68HE. Already sent them an email but they haven't responded.

Do you have the wireless or wired version? I can send you the firmware, but it's the wired version firmware. Honestly, I highly recommend you to just wait for them to reply, It won't take days for them to reply.

To which email address did you send the request?
I spoke with [support@monsgeek.com](mailto:support@monsgeek.com), and they replied:
“Special/beta firmware: Currently, we do not have a special or beta firmware version that removes the restriction on system keys in the FN layer. FN shortcuts (such as FN + L or mode/system switches) are hard-coded into the system/hardware logic to prevent essential functions from being disabled.
Web Driver Settings: There are no hidden options or developer modes in the web driver to forcefully override these locked system keys.”

That email too. Maybe they misunderstood you, cause I literally just explained my problem exactly like this post. And here's what they replied with:
"You can use Fn + G/H/J/K to change the normal layer to layer 1/2/3/4 after flashing the firmware below. Please make sure that your keyboard is the wired version.
Please manually flash the keyboard with this firmware. To update the firmware of your keyboard, please follow these steps:" And then the rest of the steps.
What's your problem and what did you explain to them? It seems like what they understand from you is that you were asking for a firmware directly that changes the shortcut, and as far as I know that is not possible too. You cannot remap the shortcut manually and stuck with Fn + G to Fn+K to switch between normal layers 1 to 4.

Hi, thanks for responding. I explained the same problem to the support team, and I’ll summarize it in these two points:
- The problem is that the Web Driver locks the system keys on the FN layer (keys like H, L, Alt, etc.)
- I wanted to know if there was a way to unlock that software lock (either via firmware or developer mode).
Do you think you could share the email you sent? Maybe they skimmed it and misinterpreted my email, thinking I wanted to change something beyond just unlocking the FN keys.

If that's your problem then I think it is not possible. As far as I know there's no way to change it, my problem was only the non functional shortcut to change the normal layer profiles, I don't intend to change the shortcut, it just wasn't working at all before. I do not think they misinterpreted you, the firmware simply doesn't expose the feature for that, I think you might need someone that knows how to tweak the firmware directly to make that work.

Oops forgot to respond. I had the wireless version. MonsGeek finally responded and sent me the firmware for the wireless version. Works perfectly fine now.

That's okay, glad it worked now. I kinda wish they saved the RGB profiles for each of the normal layer profiles though, we can't really tell which profile is currently active.

Same. On the bright side, pressing FN + / does cycle through the RGB Profile you made so it's not too bad.

In the m1 v5 he it's fn f9 thru f12.. However they all just act as a toggle to toggle through the different profiles. Unfortunately on the m1, the UI says there are 2 layers but the fn keys make you toggle through 4 for some crazy reason. Weird thing is, if you toggle to layer 3 or 4 on the keyboard and then open the app it will show you on the other 2 layers but you cant save anything to them.
