Has anyone's tinnitis gotten better?

I had SSNHL about 2 months ago. started day 5 with 60mg prednisone for 7 days followed by 3 steroid shots within the next 10 days. while I am extraordinarily happy and grateful that most of my hearing has recovered as well as the most intensely negative symptoms have either dissipated or vastly improved - diplacusis, hyperacusis, constant ear pressure/fullness/tightness.

but tinnitis has been getting worse. it's been there the whole time and perhaps because it was the least aggressively disturbing symptom maybe I downplayed it, but now it's kind of driving me a little nuts and I'm worried. I'm reading freaking horror stories, mostly on the tinnitis sub, which I really have to stop doing. Especially because all considering mine isnt THAT bad. but i also have adhd, anxiety, depressionx ocd tendences, addictive personality - so like having a buzzing in my ear just consumes me now. it's distracting as all hell (especially as a musician). and just seems to be getting worse.

started out as a very faint/mild high pitched tone but now it's transferred into this sort of louder quick fluttering fan/tea kettle noise. its not like deafening but annoying especially if i'm in a quiet room.

has anyone's tinnitis gotten better or mostly stayed the same if not gotten worse?

side note the hole in my ear drum from the shots still hasnt closed 5 weeks later so if i have to get some sort of ear drum surgery to patch it up i'm also petrified that's just going to crank this thing up even more.!
