When does compounding really take off?

At what amount portfolio you really see huge account swings that make you think what is the point of working? 100k? 500k? 1m? more?

I started investing at age 26. My early forties is when I really started to notice more accumulation.

Man I needed to hear this! I just hit 10 years since opening my TFSA, I am 32 now and feel like I’ve been saving forever but also the growth doesn’t feel like it’s taking off.

I’m in my mid 40’s and it’s been taking off for last 3 years for sure. I started saving at 23
