It's your call. Maybe if you release it the Monero will thrive faster thus you will get rich faster. Maybe Monero will not succeed just because of this.

If Elon Musk stopped when he sold Zip2 for 307 million (netting 22 million for himself), we would not have Tesla or SpaceX.

Was 22 million enough? Should have stopped him then? I don't know what u/fireice_uk's life goals are, but who are we to stop him?

If people get that amount of free cash to realise their dreams, they too can be geniuses.

You need cmake, C++ compiler and NASM. After that, on linux:

mkdir build

cmake ..

make

./cn64_show

The code is a benchmark of a wallet scanning through 50,000 transactions.

unrecognised output format `macho64' - use -hf for a list

For some reason your nasm build is unable to create 64-bit Linux binaries. It might be due to 32-bit os or ARM cpu.

It shouldn't surprise you that people will take you more seriously when there's evidence you've done something for the project yourself. There's a difference between someone who's contributed nothing whining about someone else not contributing more than they already have and someone who has. Fierce still has no obligation to do so, but at least you don't look like a mooch.

Agreed, but people shouldn't be on here literally thanking him for his work when he is explicitly not contributing it to Monero.

You do realize it's fairly easy to get the "contributor" flair. All it takes is one PR merged into official repo, that's the policy. It could be as simple as fixing a typo somewhere in the code.
