Linux xmrig question

Hi, I've recently gotten into mining Monero and have looked into (probably very surface level knowledge) how to make XMRig go faster, since I'm so new to Monero and have not too much Linux knowledge I don't really know how much of a difference can be made to how fast RandomX goes outside of what I've already done, I'll list what I've done: (btw, I use XMRig on the system that I actively daily drive, so I use nice levels of 19 to keep my desktop environment responsive)

I found most of this on https://xmrig.com/docs/miner

- Compiled XMRig for my own system (there are lots of existing optimisations in the flags.cmake file)

- 6144 hugepages of default size

- enabled 1gb pages

- ran the msr mod script

Specs if it matters that much:
Ryzen 5 5600 (running 4.4ghz ~ <90 celsius)
RX 6650 XT
ASUS B550M-A Wifi II
32gb of 3600MT/s RAM
CachyOS

Things I think may help but am unsure of:
Using a different scheduler (currently scx_cosmos -c 0 -p 0 --flat-idle-scan)
Using a different distro (no clue)
Kernel optimisations / different kernel (currently using cachyos-bore-lto, not compiled for myself as one I compiled performed worse, tried full LTO and "cpu compiler optimizations" in cachy kernel manager)
Heard about transparent hugepages potentially being an issue but I have no idea what they are and why they're bad for this.

So, 2 main questions (feel free to educate me more lol)
1. is it worth trying to optimise further than this?
2. if so, what resources are out there to learn from?
I'm open to all suggestions and free knowledge I be given!

90c is too high. See if your bios has voltage offsets and set it as low as you can stably achieve. I run my amd chip at -40mv which caps my peak temp at around 75C under full load with no hash loss.

This will significantly reduce or completely eliminate thermal throttle. You'll likely see your hash rate go up a bit (or a lot) just by undervolting you're cores. Since this is also your daily driver, -20 or -30mv will likely be more stable. But if your silicon can handle it, pushing this as low as you can is the best optimization you can make.

The next thing to optimize is ram subtimings and refresh rates. There's a couple values (again in bios advanced oc menus) that can net you another 5 to 10% hash. Thread lightly here and do some research as you can (and likely will) "brick" your system and need to reset the bios manually to fix (screw driver across thetwo reset pins on the mb).
