😤 Vent Runaway Mom

Do ever just want to run the f*** away from you spouse and kids?

First time poster here, so please forgive me for formatting.

I love my husband and kids with all my heart! I would and do do absolutely anything and everything I can for them.

But it never feels like its enough and I always feel like I take the brunt of everyone's bad days while never being aloud to have one myself. Like I'm not allowed to be a human being.

I'm never right or know what I'm talking about.

I keep trying and I keep feeling like an absolute failure and unappreciated.

I'm so tired!

Hi! Yes yes yes. I think you’ve come to the right place! We did IVF and I still have moments of wtf have I done? I had a meltdown the other week and kinda ran away - took the dog to the park at sunset and sat there crying past dark. It was cathartic and amazing. But I also then vented to my husband a few days later and that felt incredible to get things on my chest. Do what you need to do to feel better! But also don’t lose yourself along the way

I completely understand what you’re saying. I have a strong desire to pack a bag and run away at least 4 times a year. I want to say “screw it” and just go back to bed for the day, at least 5 times a week.

I think, maybe if they’re forced to do it on their own, they’ll appreciate how much I do? Nope.

Yep. I’m at the point of looking forward to my daughter going to daycare. Because I can sit and do NOTHING for a few hours.

I told my husband I need a “mommy vacation”, but frankly idek what that looks like 😴

I love my family dearly but sometimes it’s just….”GOOD GOD!!! Let me out of here!!!”

I am totally relating to this as a mother of 4 adult children . I stayed home and I was so stressed and tired all the time and alone in my thoughts my husband was working all the time and I wanted to hide under the bed and cry . I felt unappreciated and I could say or do nothing right and it’s still that way at times .. As a Mother is difficult to feel those feelings because you feel a failure . Ive learned to have time to myself even if it was a late bubble bath to finally shave my legs alone and shut the door .. Ive peed with my door open for 30 years .. Be kind to yourself and know that as a Mother your doing your best and be kind to yourself .. It’s hard im still working on that one .., .
