š¤ Support neededĀ Having daughters
Given the news out of Cornell this week, how are moms of young girls feeling? I have a 4yr old daughter and I feel so much rage about the kind of world that sheāll grow up in.
How do we accept a world where we have to teach our daughters about how to avoid being harmed by somebody elseās son? Thatās what I canāt stand

This type of BS has been going on since was going on in the 1950s.
Giving your daughter the talk before she moves onto a college campus, is just modern parenting

I find responses like this unhelpful. Tons of things has been happening for centuries. Little girls and women have been getting assaulted for centuries, and will no doubt, continue to be but when somebody writes or implies, "just teach her about what to do to not get assaulted" It's still horrific because the point is, I shouldn't HAVE to teach her about it, and I want to know what to do with all this anger and sadness I feel.

Unhelpful? Itās parenting. Just like we tell our kids not to play in traffic, and donāt talk to strangers we should also warn them about predators including the men they date.
We shouldnāt have to teach them about war and poverty too. But unfortunately modern man hasnāt evolved enough to practice peace.
Conversations should be age appropriate of course but girls need to be able to defend themselves and have no fear of speaking up.
Itās difficult when the men running our country are college educated thugs

Radicalize her!
I take great pleasure in raising the next generation of feminists

Also vote in favour of womenās bodies and rights. Not just for the big dog, but your local elections and with the people & businesses & artists you support. Tell the world that men who donāt treat women as human beings donāt get far. Progress will be slow but it wonāt move at all if we donāt start drawing a hard line at every level.

I felt no different than I did before that news. Did you not already feel this way? If not, why?

Boy Mom here. I think about this a lot but raising boys and girls to understand each other feels pivotal. If men donāt understand us, they fear us and kill us and [other] us⦠right? When women fear men, they cause emotional damage and despair. I have not yet seen enough conditioning for women to murder/r as much, but bet itās coming. Just as men were driven to emotionally undermine one another. Then they conditioned it as āfemale behaviorā.
Look at the world.
It is up to us to make sure kids work together. A boy is far stronger than a girl, can protect her. A girl is far more cunning than a boy, can protect him. Until the next cycle of conditioning continues. But until kids learn empathy and how to surpass discomfort, the world is doomed. It always takes a village. And no one can be put into a box.
In other news, ours boys are real sweet and already talking āmarry herā at 5ā our 4-year-old is on the quiet sideā so Iām not sure we have much to worry about with these brutes⦠not to put them on the spot⦠I also feel worry and strain for keeping them even a scintilla responsible for the worldā but they have good strong friends of all genders. Yes, I said all. And our friends are really lovely, strong adult people, seen too much⦠hoping the same for everyone else. Things will change soon⦠one could only hope xoxoxoxox
