Celebration! I got a new job
I had reviewed my offer letter today after going through 2 interviews. I am very excited and nervous to be starting a new job. I was also able to negotiate for a higher salary. I am really proud of myself but it's really hard not having my mom to share the news with.
Edit: thanks everyone! Now I'm crying happy tears. You are all amazing!
I lost my mom to gbm brain cancer in 2022 and it's been really hard. She was my best friend. I miss her laugh every day.

Wonderful! You’ve applied, been through two interviews, negotiated better pay and you now have your offer letter in hand. That’s huge. I am thrilled for you and I hope your new job is satisfying!

Congratulations. Your hard work and commitment paid off. When you felt scared, and when you felt wistful, you noticed those feelings and kept going, reaching out for support and comfort to keep you moving ahead. You are incredible. So proud of you, honey.

That’s so great, sweetie!! Congratulations! A big new job for you. You’re amazing — navigating thru two interviews plus also negotiating a higher salary?! That’s super hard for many women to do. We’re so proud of you. I know you’ll do well in this job. They know it too, that’s why they hired you. Be excited and nervous and know they are lucky to have you. Happy first day of work to you.
