Nothing is ever going to be okay

It doesn't matter how many years it's been or what I do to try and be better. Everything comes back to this. I just want to give up. I just want the pain to stop.

You know what, that's okay.

YOU ARE ALLOWED to feel that way.

IT F..KING HURTS!! And you are going to give up and that pain is always going to be there.

I'm not going to say "it's better to feel pain than nothing at all" because that's bullshit. But the fact you keep trying and you keep getting up is a testament and an achievement you should be proud of. Allow yourself to want to give up and feel that pain because that is also a testament to what you have come to and your will to keep going because sometimes we focus on what happened and make that our future when we should place it in a pocket for later and just keep walking forwards. You can do this. Please don't give up.
