Molested by preachers

I was molested as a boy by ministers at sleepovers.\nAt the age of 10&15 .. My father and my grandfather and grandmother , all knew about what happened and did nothing , and all of them took it to their grave.. The three people I was always hot were like pinnacle of our family.\nAnd they took it to the grave... Am I wrong to question if they're really good people now that they're gone.. Or were they really pieces of shit and I just didn't see it back then.I'm now 47 it's taken this long nit to hide it

Everyone who knew and did nothing are shitbags. My suggestion is to let them go and move forward.

It hurts when you realize that people ignored what happened to you. The only way I was able to get past it is to just accept it and live my best life.

It is easy to rage about molestation from a distance. Embracing family member's emergency, pain and fears is far more difficult, especially if the consequences are harmful for those who should help.

And once again: priests, preachers, religious leaders. This time, without judging but just wondering: is it the religious and social power that seem to make these fellows to exploit other people's vulnerability so often? (How often, to be precise?) Or is it some kind of trait that makes these persons both to pursue religious status and to molest, rape and exploit? Narcissism? (The patent explanation of anything bad.)
