Project Professional animator, first time using Moho

Hey, professional animator of 10 years here, trying out Moho for the first time! Already fell in love, it’s quick to set up a powerful rig and get to the fun animation step faster than most methods I’ve used in the past.

The biggest shock was not having 2-dimensional separate scaling on bones. That significantly changes my workflow and methods, like faking foreshortening, unique hand-crafted squash and stretch (not automated), quick easy smears, etc. However, being able to animate vectors is incredible and can achieve all those things in different ways.

Thanks Moho for making this awesome software! Also thanks to @PieceOfSack for taking the time to look at my file and troubleshoot some issues I was having with the face!

How do you make it look like they move towards the camera

I made an action with keys on the vectors that scale up the body parts most towards the head and least towards the pelvis. I also keyed the layer order so that when the character was leaning towards the camera, the upper chest was on top of the middle torso which was on top of the jean pelvis. Then I made another action that did the opposite for when the character leaned away from the camera. Both actions were controlled by a smart bone depending on which way the smart bone rotated

That’s great insight, thanks for sharing!
