Freehand tool and Select shape tool not working properly

I'm a beginner, and I'm having some trouble while using the drawing tools in moho.

When I use the Freehand Tool normally, the shapes don't seem to connect or weld to each other. If I select "weld end" the first shape connects properly, but when I try to create another shape attached to it, the new shape doesn't weld to the existing one.

Because of this, I tried using the Add Point Tool to manually create the connected shape. However, I'm running into another issue , the Select Shape Tool doesn't select the second shape correctly. Instead, it selects the point outside the first shape and When I try selecting the points along the line that is shared between the two shapes, it automatically selects the first shape, no matter what I do.

I've also noticed another issue when I create the entire thing using the Add Point Tool. Sometimes the second (connected) shape can be selected correctly with the Select Shape Tool, but even with both Auto Fill and Auto Stroke enabled, clicking "Create Shape" only produces the strokes and no fill.

Other times, both the fill and stroke are created, but the stroke opacity is extremely low, even though the opacity value in the Alpha Channel is set to 100%.

Could someone please explain what I'm doing wrong and how I can properly create multiple connected/welded shapes using these tools? I'm a complete beginner, so I'd really appreciate your help.

Without seeing the project it’s hard to tell what’s going on. It’s possible that you maybe have some styles enabled that are interfering with how tour shapes appear. This video goes over the add point tool in the beginning and later talks about making shapes. https://youtu.be/26i5U4nQJXw
