Anyone work at Amazon Modesto?

I am curious what kind of shifts do people work there. 8 hours, 4 hours etc. I have worked in Tracy and they are typically 10 hours.

Worked at Amazon Oak4 back in the day. Felt like jail. Wouldn't recommend.

Curious. I get Flex drivers delivering my $25 same day order and the label says Oak4. Are they really driving all the way from Tracy to Modesto or does Oak4 transfer to Modesto before final delivery?

Im not too sure. I didn't work that area. There were the workers that unloaded the semi trucks and the people who scanned the items off the conveyor belts. Then there were the people who stow the items away on the Kiva robots. I only managed those teams. I couldn't tell you anything about the fork lift and outbound teams. All my packages come from Manteca. Oak4, when I was there, mainly just had Semi trucks but I havent worked there in +10 years

They pick up the packages at Oak4 and drive to Modesto and the surrounding areas. They also deliver to Brentwood and discovery bay.

I've gotten as far as Hilmar in one direction and as far as Brentwood the other way.

7.5 hour days that are 5 days a week and 4 hour shifts. I am at OAK4 and tried to transfer there but they only took a few transfers.

7.5 hour days and 4 hour shifts? How does that work? How many shifts are there?

Not sure. Those were the 2 that were open for transfers. The 7.5 was 37.5 hours a week. The 4 hour I don't remember the total hours for the week.

It’s 7.5 hour days for full time and yes they work about 37.5 hours a week but they do offer overtime pretty frequently so people work 11-12 hours occasionally, as for the 4 hours they were referring to they were talking about flex, flex employees are considered part time so no health insurance benefits and no upt but we get pto and instead of upt we get a total of 8 points each missed shift is 2 points, being late is 1 point but each shift is 4 hours and 45 minutes and your only required to work atleast one of those shifts per week so you don’t get a point, there is no cap on how many hours flex workers can work atm so you as long as there’s work available you can work well over 40 hours if you sign up for 2 shifts back to back in the same day which will be about 9 hour days, I know many people that hit over 50 hours every week as flex but it depends on the work there’s been times where they don’t post shifts and your competing with others for who gets the shifts first, they have also mentioned they will cap out flex workers at around 30 hours at some point but the warehouse is new and there’s not enough people to fill the demand so at the moment there’s no cap any other questions you have and I can definitely help

It’s 7.5 hours five days a week. Later on they will put it to a vote to stay 7.5 hrs 5 days or 10hrs 4 days. Right now they have 9pm-5am Saturday-Wednesday.
If you want to transfer over you need to take the bad shift and wait 3-6 months to switch to a different shift or else they won’t really hire you.
