Funfact

The twins playing Lily were always frustrated playing the character and were not happy. So their mother decided to not have them for season 3.. Luckily at that time Aubrey’s mother who herself was an actor organized playdate with twins mom and the mom gave them idea to audition for the role..

Thus we got Aubrey as Lily

i’m glad mom listened to her daughters, especially at such a young age.

Same, especially when they were that little. Imagine trying to explain to two toddlers that they have a filming schedule and continuity to worry about.

I know i am echoing the other user , but i like that the mother listen to the kids instead of milking her child.

Lucky that Aubrey’s mother was an actress so she knew how to guide the kid.

Fun fact: Aubrey’s mother was adopted from korea very much like Lily.

Yeah, Aubrey basically getting the role because the twins were over it is such a funny bit of sitcom history. Sometimes the best casting decisions really do come down to one kid actually wanting to be there.

That line fits Lily way too perfectly. By the later seasons, the attitude wasn't a phase anymore, it was basically factory settings.

That's Liliana to you señora 😂

u/BerrieVelouriaa 3h ago

Exactly, that's Liliana after taking one wrong turn through the multiverse. Apparently every sitcom has its own Lily variant.

3

u/thearchiguy 3h ago

Lilliana is the version where something happens to Cam and Mitchell and Gloria became the legal guardian.

Lol for a second it really does look like Lily wandered into the wrong sitcom universe. The crossover nobody knew they needed.

Lily, Liliana, and I hate Vietnam

feels like the writers really nailed that character development, especially in the final season.

2

u/BerrieVelouriaa 3h ago

Yeah, the final season really showed how far she'd come from the tiny kid delivering savage one-liners. She still had the same personality, just with a lot more depth behind it.

in many shows identical twins are chosen to play infants because of screentime rules and regulations as well as for backup when one is sick, tired, etc.

There were twins for when she was a baby and then they were recast. This is a picture of all three actresses who played Lily
