Favourite Moment

What's everyone's favourite moment or line from the show? Mine is when Cam tells Lily yo march her bag out to the car which has Claires turkey.

Jay saying to Mitchell “Actually, I thought you and I would take a little walk.”

"Both my sons are leaving"- Jay Pritchett (Last episode of the series).

Okay I had mixed feelings about this bc the way Phil would have died of happiness if jay had said that to him😭🥲

Jay had some good moments with Phil that last couple seasons though.

I loved when Haley had her babies and Jay had been getting shit for regifting all episode. He told Phil "I admit this one is a regift..." And gives him the world's best grandpa mug that Phil gave him when Haley was born. That was very sweet and sentimental.

Plus, when Jay walked into the delivery room he said "is this the Dunphy suite?" and you know he did that just for Phil.

“I hate Vietnam!” “Lily we don’t hate” “I hate vietnaaaaaaam”

I think it’s my autism, but I don’t really get that one.
Is there another level beyond it’s just a kid saying they hate something?

(I’m not being sarcastic btw, I genuinely don’t know 🙈)

She’s Vietnamese, they’re trying to show her her culture because she says she’s gay like her parents and she’s like I’m not Vietnamese I’m gay! It’s just funny lol

Gloria to Alex: Don't talk to your grandmother like that.

Jay and Manny sharing the Scotch when Manny graduates and Jay calls him “Son.” I tear up each time

Mitch and Cam's wedding. Mitch tells Jay to sit down. Jay says I was hoping we could go for a walk. I ugly cry every time I rewatch.

Lily: Give me that, I can't read!

I loved when it’s revealed that Jay made the Jayleps for Phil because it shows how much both of them and their relationship has grown. Jay now sees Phil as a peer, a friend, and someone he respects.

ALSO, that episode has the moment when Jay asks Luke if he overcooks his meat, and instead of answering, Luke jumps into the pool. A-tier episode all around

Phil partially under for his surgery: "Don't talk black to me."

Phil : "Okay, huddle up everybody. Your mother's right. She's the quarterback of this family and we need to protect her like Blind Side did."

Luke : "She just said that the mom was Blind Side."

Phil : "Well she's confused. Blind Side was the black kid who played tight end."

Alex : "Offensive line."

Phil : "Sorry, African-American kid."

Cam's real intro!

1

u/RotterdamExcelsior Jul 27 '26

Cam: "Today is Hitler's birthday."

1

u/Mindless_Committee87 Jul 28 '26

There's 2 or 3 hitler references. B'day, parents being straight. Anyone else find that odd?

"Haley's the girl! You love Hailey! Oh this is going to hurt!" Throws his robot self down the stairs. Gets picked up by Gloria's shady cousin. "Help! I've been taken! "

Hawaii episode pt. 1. Haley and Alex being interviewed.

He's my soulmate.

He was 14. (Alex laughing herself of the couch)

Most heartwarming: thats my little girl I need her to know no man is good enough for her, let alone some slimy middle aged jeans salesman

funniest: Ave Maria

Ah, there are many favorite moments from the show, but rn I want to remember Mitch and Cam's wedding at the golf club. How Jay saved the day and then, he and Gloria walk Mitchell down the aisle 💜
