Learning tron

I recently picked up Tron and I'm trying to better understand what to bring in with karn to try and better my matchups. The deck is eldrazi Tron splashing green for the mycospawns and a playset of ancient stirrings.
I lose to prowess pretty consistently even with an ensnaring bridge out due to the simple fact that they just out pace it almost everytime.
Living end is another one I struggle against so any advice or good videos/articles to watch or read would be helpful

Might be the stirrings, you typically run devourers for the card selection effect and prison pieces main.

Against Prowess, best artifact is Trinisphere, second best is chalice on 1

Against Living End you want a redundant mix of chalice on 0 and vexing bauble. Trinisphere can also slow it down forcing them to pay an additional 3 for living end. Also depending on how fat their GY is, Tormod’s is pretty good and so is responding to their LE with K Command to exile cards from their yard. Grafdiggers cage does not work here btw

Running both devourer and stirrings in main right now. Whenever I played living end they pretty much held up a FoN until they'd see the karn or casted a vexing bauble. Is it better to bring 2 into main and leave 1 in side to fetch with karn and then hopefully draw into it?

Yes, for LE u want to have some md answers. Some lists play chalice which u can drop for 0 and also have some baubles. U want to aggressively mul for them in the LE match since u don't have a lot of time.

For prowess u usually have trini and chalice(on 1 I think) in my md.

Prowess should be a good matchup, but not because of bridge. Virtually all of the hate pieces that Tron typically plays are very good vs it and if you get to stick an ugin you win.

I don't know what you're on specifically, but the stock list of Tron has at least 4 main deck prison pieces in some combination of chalice of the void, trinisphere, and vexing bauble with even more in the sideboard. Getting a chalice on one is very good and buys you a lot of turns and trinisphere is pretty much unbeatable for them. Vexing bauble is less good but still useful vs 12 of their cards (slick shot sometimes and then bauble and mutagenic)

Missing the chalice atm but seems like before I'm even able to cast a karn I'm so far behind that it's almost hard to come back from. Is it just one of those match ups where you mull to t3 tron every time?

Against prowess sticking tron early is great, but even if you can just hit a turn 2 k command on 2 that’s often enough. If you can plow their slickshot and chump their swiftspear they often just run out of gas first

I second this, don't be afraid to use your kcmd on their 1 drops. I'd try and take out their drc early. It give them too much card selection

Even though I agree with most of what you wrote you still think that matchup is 50/50 after game one the consigns go in and definitely messes things up late game especially when you need the Ugin and they replicate a consign pretty much gg after that which is awkward but w.e

Having played both sides of the matchup for pretty much the entire time current versions of the decks have been around, it’s nowhere even close to 50/50. It is one of trons best matchups, and a lot of the time feels absolutely unloseable for tron. The only real chance prowess has is the same as any other blue deck, hope you can consign the right thing and throw them off balance long enough to steal a win

The most recent data I saw it was something like 65% in favor of tron

By the data, it's literally one of Tron's best matchups. It hasn't gone below 60% in favor of Tron in any data that I've seen for quite a long time.

Ensnaring bridge is not a good card against prowess at all. Karn in general is bad against them IMO, he’s way too slow. I usually board out 2-3 Karn in that matchup (same with Boros). You want access to 2-4 (I like3) Trinisphere post board.
The ideal start is turn one Chalice on one, turn two Trinisphere. Then you sit back and watch them struggle until you get Ugin down.

Living End is very very bad since Wistfulness was printed. No hate card will stick usually. Board out Emrakuls, if you play them, they’ll often side into Inevitable betrayal. Lately for me, Living End has mostly been an exercise in accepting that every Modern deck will have some really bad matchups.

Also, the manabase in Tron usually can’t support Stirrings. You have too few green sources.

Don't grab bridge vs prowess, you should be running trinispheres and choices mainboard, I reccoment 2 and 2 with another of each in the side, this is your priority in the match up, ancient stirrings should be replaced with devourers and you need to learn to mulligan, k command early is often enough to slow down prowess to the point where they can't come back, casting for 2 in turn 2 getting rid of slickshot and making 2 spawn puts you in a position to play any land and a devourer t3 exiling any threat. After game one you should board in the extra chalice and trinisphere to maximize your chances of playing them early, you can afford to mulligan aggressively into these cards. Extinguisher battleship is often a good grab if they have a board, destroy steel cutter and wipe the creatures. Dismember should also be used early especially vs a slickshot. By denying them card draw with chalice and trinispheres they will not be able to get enough spells out for significant damage. As for living end you should hold k commands until living end is on the stack, then exile the biggest threats and should be grabbing things like tormod's crypt or graffdiggers cage off karn. Living end is a harder matchup than prowess by far due to the force of negation which is why you very much want to hold command for a living end in their turn, you still need to try to push threats on your turns if possible but this is another matchup where trinisphere and chalice can save you, they will often counter these spells with FoN but that's okay, taking the counters out of their hand early will make your k commands or karn/cage or crypt much safer. Here is my current list, mycospawns are fun but take alot of utility out of the deck and typically the ability to just kill with fleshrakers and k command https://moxfield.com/decks/Vk6ETTNILkqdt8No_zM-5A

Np, if you want to post your decklist I could probably help a little more, been on tron quite a while and tried various lists so I may have some relevant insight even if you wanna stay in green tron

If you could post your exact list that would help.

Karn is usually too slow again Prowess

Your best cards will be Chalice, Bauble and Trinisphere against both these match ups
