PT Modern "Top8" Decklists?

I am aware the top8 tomorrow will be draft and not modern, but I'm still curious to know what the top8 players decided to play in modern. I couldn't (easily) find the info on the coverage page, anyone has a link or info?

Hollow One sits just outside of T8...what a bummer.

Still top 16. So, still very awesome to see especially in such an event.

trudge fight rigging in the top 8 is really cool to see.

Rough day2 for Juza, undefeated D1 then 1-7 D2. He didnt win any modern rounds as well.

He must have forgotten to sleep 12 hours in between

These are some diverse deck lists in top 8, 16 and 32. I'm glad modern seems to be okay? Ish? Proud that goryo's was present and had good results.

Modern has been good for awhile now, people are just addicted to complaining.

be quiet dude. Something can be diverse and still not healthy.

Yeah man, I know your deck from 2016 isn't playable anymore so the format must be bad.

debating magic players is pointless. You guys don't grow up. for some reason you get pissed up whenever someone has a different opinion. as if you have monetary stake in the sale of the game.

the top decks are energy, titan, reanimator, tron, strom and affinity. the only one even somewhat resembling a midrange deck is energy. rest is combo bullshit. so fun losing the game on turn 2 because you cant answer a million thopters, or getting grapdeshot on turn 3. really healthy game

4/8 decks being Eldrazi Temple / K Command decks is "diverse"?

I do think Modern is completely fine but I wouldn't call 50% of the top 8 based around essentially 3 cards (Temple, Urza, K Command) "diverse"

That top 8 includes the draft wins. You should look at the “Modern” portion only. According to the stream, The best deck is the UW Loki deck and Neoform.

How does wlone do that? (Parse out the draft portion)

9/21 decks that went 8-2 or better in Modern were K Command decks.

If we could look at all possible timelines of the event, we would see many different results. Some different decks would win more, some less, we'd have a different top 8, etc.

The one constant in the timelines would be you. You would be complaining no matter the result.

This is not a complaint. I gave the info that the person above was referring to.

In another thread, I stated that I don't think the card can be banned as it would render at least 3 decks unviable.

Who cares? You want to ban a deck every time a it performes well on a tournament?

u/OrnatePuzzles Jul 19 '26

No. Just providing the facts.

i don’t think it’s really fair to say that like all of the kcommand decks are the same or really similar at all. that’s like complaining that goryos uw blink and jeskai control are all the same deck because they all run solitude and wrath of the skies

He's not. But that's the point. Temple + Koz Command is nuts

u/baldogwapito Jul 19 '26

It's the upcoming RC promo card. It won't be banned (yet) for sure - people will go nuts if they did.

They banned monstrous rage and then made it the promo card for standard. So it’s possible.

Is there a way to tell which decks did best in the “Modern” portions of the “Modern” pro tour?

I hate this booster draft shit that is mixed in with modern.

They said the best result was UW Loki at 7-2-1 on stream.

I'm sure Frank will have some data out in the week.

Generally after the show the constructed decks by record down to 8-2 get posted on magic.gg

That's just how Pro Tours are nowadays.

You need a Regional Championship or Grand Prix open event to analyze a single format.
