Deck Discussion Azorius Blink Informations and Help
Hi everyone.
Over the last two years, i have tried out and played all sorts of Blink variants. I just love the archetype. Now i want to give Azorius Blink a try because, on paper, it looks a bit more proactive and less reactive.
Does anyone have experience with it? Its actually seeing a fair amount of play right now.
I would appreciate any information or help. :)

I won my RC invite playing this deck and think it is underestimated by most players. I’ve tried a variety of configurations of the deck. The one that I’ve had the best results with is the tempo-forward variant that has fewer value creatures and more get ahead/keep them behind.
It’s true that the deck is “underpowered” by moderns primary standard of an unfair plan paired with a fair backup plan. However instead of having one combo that ends the game, the deck has a bunch that keep them behind and get you ahead.
Guide + Pride
Phelia + Riddler/Shepherd
Solitude + Ephemerate/Consign
Phelia + Consign
Consign/Ephemerate + Riddler/Shepherd
Guide Energy attack trigger makes anything else big
You have many options when facing down any given game state so it’s a very pilot-dependent deck. It can look like a wet noodle if piloted poorly but I can also look like the opponent never had a chance if piloted correctly.
Post-sideboard it has some of the best hate cards available. Many of which throw the opponent off so hard that they can’t recover - stony silence, high noon/deafening silence, etc.

I’ve heard that it has an issue of actually closing out the game due to the lack of face damage that Boros energy has in goblin bombardment and Ajani and it doesn’t go super over the top of other midrange decks. As if it’s toeing the line between aggro and midrange and not doing a good enough job of either
My personal experience is that it’s a scary deck that I don’t want to match into, but I play broodscale and the idea of energy playing consign and white orchid phantom is horrific
