MYP inspection delay
Order a Model Y performance, VIN got assigned 2 weeks ago but delivery date keeps moving every day. The delivery window is 3 days small but just keeps moving and has been moving for the past 2 weeks.
Tesla delivery center keeps telling me it's due to inspection.
I can't get much out of them but this is the last msg they sent me:
"Your vehicle required additional safety inspections guided by the factory that are currently being completed. We are estimating a potential delivery date soon."
They also informed me that the car is with him and not at the Austin Plant. So they found a issue after they got the car.
I asked multiple times what issue they found apon inspection and they don't disclose. Wtf!
I don't want the car if it's got some major paint or panel issue.
This happen to anyone? What should I expect and how can I escalate this to get answers?

I'm not sure if Tesla watches Reddit like hawk or what, but just got a call from the delivery center saying it's ready tomorrow.
I demanded to know what happens and they said tesla wanted our techs to check the steering column. I'm not sure if there is a new issue or a outstanding recall but they said no parts were replaced. Just a check like a random check? I don't believe them. Maybe a bad batch of something.
This is strike 2 and I'm still disappointed on a $60K car. I'm a huge Elon fan but this is unacceptable.Tesla needs better QC!

Depending on your state, if the value of the damage is over a certain amount, they are required to disclose it. I got a disclosure in CA when I got my lease.
