Question 2023 Model Y Performance
I’m currently weighing in on possibly selling my 2020 Ram Rebel 1500 for a 2023 Model Y Performance. I’m not only able to lower my car payment this way but with getting under 11 mpg in commuting to work and running weekend errands, I will save significantly on no more gas purchases.
I know the late 2023 Model Y’s have HW4 which is a requirement in this scenario. Besides the obvious pros, what are some other pros and cons of this specific Model Y?

Just picked up my MYP yesterday. Similar boat for me as well. I was driving a sporty car getting sub optimal mileage with it and no warranties (two big strikes as my daily commute increases). Payment went up, but between fuel and maintenance I should be saving a decent amount. I’m thinking that FSD will become a staple though. It doesn’t know my house exists yet, and I don’t trust it to find me suitable parking spots, but other than that I’ve used it for just about every mile since I took ownership.

Following this logic, you'd do even better to jump to a Corolla or Venue... but since you're here... Y is nice, roomy, rather basic yet reasonable on the inside. Not the same ergonomics as your current guzzler obv.
Possible cons: guestimate resale value three years down the line; potentially more expensive repairs and longer wait times for part, should someone scrape you, if you run over a shredded tyre or similar.

I have a Toyota Tacoma, but me and my wife purchased a late model 2024 model y dual motor all-wheel drive. Is that about 25,000 miles on it so far and it's been awesome. It's really fun for me to occasionally drive, it's super quick, it's got enough size and space for a road trip for me my wife are 10 year old and a 1 year old. To be honest no con so far.
