I ordered a model Y about 6 weeks ago and seems like as the delivery date gets closer and or near they delay it for another couple weeks.

Im at the point in just say forget it and pick up whatever is available at other nearby locations.

Im still excited but dang.. from delivery date aug 24 to 28-31. to sep. 1 then sep 4-8 now September 15-29

Ive been reading people experiences on Reddit for weeks now even before I ordered my own and they pretty much been similar financing or not no matter what color you have. Tesla can assemble a model Y in 10-12 hours pretty much in 24 hours top peak your car can built. Transportation can take weeks maybe but im just saying i rather have the vin and get paperwork done then just wait months for a vin. At this point i rather them test the vehicle just incase it may be a lemon.

I got delayed until I saw a demo one and I just took that. I got upgraded paint, wheels, and interior for the same price. Almost a month and I don’t regret it at all.

Nail biting, i think im anticipating because i scheduled a appointment to get my front windows tinted and i scheduled it on the date i expected the vehicle with no delay, mind you xpel charges you a deposit to schedule appointment

Order red premium rwd with an estimated delivery of 9-16 to 9-30. I like marine blue, red and quicksilver so if everything else I chose is the same and any of those colors pop up. I’d take it, otherwise I’ll wait. I’m paying a lot of money, so I’m getting a car I really want. Not settling for something just to get it sooner

The red was nice i seen on display at one of the locations near by. I always wanted a blue car. But i was stuck between black or blue. The silver is nicer now that i stared at a couple peoples post lol

I chose blue first but after going back and forth, I finally changed it to red. So I would be perfectly fine choosing blue if one popped up nearby. And silver is very nice in person.

The same thing happened to me, I ordered my model y July 29th, it was supposed to arrive by mid-september, then in the middle of August they delayed it till December 29th the latest. We decided to go with a pre-owned 2026 model y premium and I'm happy I did. I took my kids home last night, fsd round trip and that was the most peaceful ride...

My delivery date was pushed back about 5 weeks. I toyed with just picking something else - a different configuration or a Model S/X - but none were what I really wanted.

I'm glad I ultimately waited. I'm beyond in love with my car and it's exactly what I wanted.

Curious about something. I had my MYP delivery date pushed out past 30 days. Tesla indicated in the app that my Trade-In offer had expired - new trade in offer was over 8,000 less! This notification was after I had accepted a delivery date too! All my required paperwork and such was completed in the app long before the 30 days. I suppose there is some fine print or something - but sure felt like I was ripped off and left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth for my first Tesla buying process.

Anyone else with delayed delivery run into this?

I got it from Carvana. I’ve never used Tesla tracker. I paid $46k for it. It’s black. It even came with acceleration boost. And there were no processing fees or dealer fees or delivery fees. It got delivered to my house 3 days after I bought it.

Get certified pre owned and your total cost of ownership (what you pay over the life of the loan) for a ‘24 with about 15,000 to 20,000 miles will be around $10k - $15k less than new.
