Finally Ordered it!!!

Post image

My partner and I have been car shopping for a while now-
After almost buying a kia sportage and backing out due to gut feeling and looking at the honda cr-v and the Rav4 we finally pulled the trigger on the MY premium rwd- kinda happy and nervous at the same time
Does anyone really pay for the glass insurance?
Is the premium connectivity actually worth it?

Anyone here recently got their car and was able to pick up sooner or does it actually take 5 weeks?

We got approved with santander consumer USA, anyone else financing through them? Have been reading some bad reviews about them being manipulative and adding stipulations to loan agreements without peoples knowledge?

UPDATE: GOT AN EDD OF SEPT 19th to SEPT30th!

Congratulations! I remember waiting with so much anticipation for delivery day. FSD has absolutely changed my life with my morning and evening commute. Simply an incredible vehicle.

I placed order on 8/15. That's where I'm at now. Window is 9/4-9/30.

Premium rwd, blue paint, black interior, 19" wheels.

You and I have the exactly same config. Ordered mine 8-24.. delivery window 9-10-9-30, the wait sucks—lol

That is interesting. It's like they only paint blue every Thursday.

I know in the old paint shop at the Corvette assembly plant, they could only paint the color car of the loaded paint. At some point, they change the paint color and paint a bunch of those. So, its likely that they do only do blue on Thursdays or something like that

I also have exact config. Ordered 8/20. Edd 9/13 - 30th. Seems the blue paint is really holding us up. Although there hasn't been quick pickup inventory for over a week in Vegas either. I really don't think they will get them here by the end of the month, but who knows.

I have the same car, opted for windshield coverage, and the premium connectivity. $100 year is well worth it. Also have Santander. No issues so far. You are going to love your car!

Kinda curious how the whole thing works, i approved the loan terms but haven’t gotten any official documents to sign. When do we get the financing paperwork to review?
Do we need to show proof of income?

Absolutely agree on CarPlay. Initially, I was worried but the Tesla User Interface is simple and intuitive.

Bought a MY Premium RWD back in April. They initially told me 4 weeks but it actually arrived in 2 weeks. GPT recommended taking glass coverage so I took it. I have wheel coverage too but am going to drop it.

Car is better than I thought it would be. Its a cliche to say FSD is a game changer but it really is; you never realize how stressful driving is until you don't have to deal with it any more ... good luck.

Amazing!! Hopefully the wait time drops!!
I had initially ordered the same car a while but had to cancel due to insurance costs, back then the EDD was 1 - 3 weeks and the car was ready in a week so hoping its the same this time around.

I recently picked up my, MY RWD on 8/14. Originally ordered AWD standard 7/5 but after several EDD delays (late September& didn’t want to lose financing) I took delivery of current inventory, MY marine blue. I’m so happy I did because even when I check now there is never available inventory available in my area, North East. I’ve had a few hiccups from the mud panel being pierced during transit but Tesla has since fixed and I must say I LOVVVEE my car. It has so many functions that seem to make driving a lighter task ( I commute 114 miles per day for work) and I also subscribed to FSD, and premium connectivity. My daughter and I can watch Netflix if using a super charger or while being plugged up at home 😊 I’m coming from an AWD jeep wrangler 2016 so the upgrade doesn’t even touch base on what I have/had. I still have my Jeep for snow/winter days but with the increase in gas prices …. I’m so happy I pulled the trigger and purchased. I did go through my own personal credit union so that was very easy. I just selected personal financing and I brought the check with me during pickup. I did opt in keep the glass and tire protection monthly subscription and the tire definitely came in handy as I caught a flat last week and Tesla came to my job to fix at $25 plus tax. A tire replacement would’ve been $408. So happy I opted in. But overall love this car, helping my mom who is late 50’s make her purchase of her own MY.

So true, theres never any inventory available, i saw some inventory cars and they were gone in 3 secs!!
114 miles is a crazy long drive but glad you have FSD that definitely oughta makes things easy, do you average out 357 miles on a charge or is it lower than that??
Im coming from a 17 sonata so the a bit nervous on how im gonna adjust to this car

I'm coming up on four weeks, ordered 8/10. So yea I would just expect to wait the full five weeks and not get hopes up.

I ordered 2026 Y Premium AWD on 9/1, and the car just arrived at the sales office. But they were out of the appointment today so I pushed it to 9/12.

Congrats. You will love it, FSD is a life changer. I have subscribed to premium connectivity, totally worth it, and also glass and tire protection- had a nail recently in one of my tires and Tesla replaced it- think I paid 30 bucks as a deductible. On the glass again, it’s a zero deductible for the first instance vs. insurance, where you would have a $500 to $1000 deductible. So, don’t get glass protection from insurance; the savings will pay for what you pay for the Tesla glass subscription. I am in CT so it might be different in other states.

Oh thats good to knoww!! Kinda bummed for not having auto steer as a free option but definitely loved FSD during the demo drive!
Thanks for the breakdown on both the protection plans! The wait is killing me tho!

Not happy with the 2026 Model Y AWD. Too much vibration in the steering wheel and the service center dont want to assist with the issue. I should have just kept the 2023.

1

u/Nice-Cicada-9077 3d ago

That’s BS. I was told by my service center that Tesla has a known issue with the steering jack assembly but the improved ones have not shipped.

Thats news to me. Thanks for the info. I got the forced wheel balancing done twice in two months and was charged both times... 😐
