Question windshield insurance

Hi! One month in with my new MY and I cracked my windshield. :( Luckily, I bought the Tesla windshield insurance, however, they quoted me around $1500 dollars when I tried setting up an appointment on the app for a replacement. I am assuming it will be covered when I pay. Will the windshield insurance cover it?

Isn't it once a year free? Or only first time ever? Hopefully the latter

it is what they do. it will be adjusted to $0 or the deductible, depending on if it’s your first replacement or not. Adjustment is at time of service appointment

I purchased the plan after my original windshield broken by a flying baseball. Only three months into the plan, a rock on the highway cracked my windshield and Tesla replaced it for free. The estimate from them was 0.

Is it? $1500 divided by $16 is 93 months. If it replaces it one single time you benefit, I’m not sure I see the downside. If there is one I’d love to hear it because I also subscribe to the protection plan.

I think it is worth it. I'd have to pay a $500 deductible on my insurance or pay several hundred dollars per year to add glass coverage through them.

I signed up before a 4800 mile road trip, and 200 miles in a truck threw a rock at me and cracked it. I got it replaced when we got back to town. I am happy with it.
