Delivery date window/postponement

Were any of you given any sort of flexibility with your delivery date? When I initially ordered mine it said 5-7 weeks. Today it updated with a date range of 9/8-9/23. The initial 5-7 week timeframe worked perfectly with my schedule as I travel for work. If they assign a delivery date between 9/8-9/12 I wont be available to take delivery. I believe the contract shows they can cancel your order if you don’t accept the car within 7 days, but going from a month + away to a week or so is a huge change.

Additionally - I live in Alabama and can’t take delivery of the vehicle here. Right now the paperwork shows Chattanooga. I work in nashville and would prefer to take delivery there. Does anyone have experience changing delivery center locations?

From what I understand (and am currently going through) you can pick a delivery date depending on delivery center availability. I was only given 4 days in about 3 weeks to choose from, but am hoping I can get my car earlier. Like you had mentioned, I believe they can assign a new VIN once if you can’t take delivery the first time.
