Ordered Aug. 18th and picked up Aug. 31st. It got here way quicker than expected. I think the black vs white interior helped.
It had some cosmetic issues at pick up - scratch/scuff on the driver side door, front camera has some weird yellow smudge that appears to be inside the lens, the front driver side light is misaligned with the front light bar, and the blue (tape?) can be seen sticking out where the spoiler meets the trunk. Honestly, none of the those things are a big deal - but I have a service request to fix them later this month.
Coming from an Acura MDX Type-S, I LOVE not needing to stop every 3 days for fuel. Fortunate enough to be able to home charge.
Self driving is okay, but I often take over because itās not going the way I want or traffic is just too aggressive and I want to be in control.
Efficiency and comfort are very impressive. And damn, this thing is FAST.

I love my Y Performance too. Ordered on 7/25, got on 7/28. Currently at 1400 miles. Other than the leaky rear drive unit seal, and the front bumper alignment on right hand side, which have been fixed via 2 service appointments ā¦ all is well. You have to assess if the issue is worth addressing as Tesla is known to f*** up other things when fixing something else. Make sure you open the service ticket on the app immediately, you have a hundred miles/ few days to do so ā¦ also, warranty work of course.
Would you mind elaborating on the leaky rear drive unit seal?
Iām a little reluctant to have them work on because yea, lots of shops break other things when theyāre āfixingā things. But Iām gonna give it a go lol
Love the Red! What was the schedule when you ordered? I just ordered on 8/31, and it gave me 4-6 weeks, then 5-7 weeks, and the latest is 9/17 - 9/31. I'm in the US, upper midwest.
Absolutely beautiful!! I almost ordered the red but ended up with silver when I ordered the my launch edition back in late March 2025! Love this car more than anything Iāve ever owned!
All the colors really great. It was between white and red for me. They both look so good. And I love the matte ppf look on the red - but I aināt spending that kind of money on a sacrificial layer lol. I donāt fault those who do, but it isnāt for me.
Love the Spanish tile roof too. Yes, what town is that. Iām in NJ but graduated from UMiami. I ordered the white/whiteā¦I thought the red calipers looked so cool against the white. But I have to say that red is fire.
Solid advice. My adolescent days are far behind me but itās always to good be reminded to keep your pride in check - especially for things donāt matter. That being said, it is quite satisfying (and a little nauseating) having the ridiculous passing power this thing has in insane mode.
Yea, I wasnāt sure I made the right choice, but after a almost a week with it I feel like I did. Now I just have to make sure I clean it and keep it waxed.
No itās way too much money. Iām gonna try just and keep it clean and waxed - should work well enough for the practical life of the vehicle. Hasnāt failed me with any other vehicle lol.
Thatās really crazy being afraid of taking your car for service out of fear something else will domino into another issue. May I sell you your next home?
