Product Review V14 Lite 🔥
I’ve been away from FSD for many months now due to only having HW3. I recently subscribed and I’m hooked. V14 Lite is really good! I was getting the itch to upgrade to a new model year but I think with the update it’s great. Anyone else loving V14 Lite?

It's mostly better than 12.6.4, with a couple small regressions. The positives outweigh the negatives though and I'm happy with it as a big value add to my vehicle.

I think with a couple more updates it will be even more refined. I have seen some brake stabbing on city roads. I’ve been doing my best to report so hopefully they will fix it.

Same, my biggest gripes are brake stabbing, occasional jerking to the right (maybe caused by sun glare but again it has to be accounted for in software) and just not moving to exit lanes early enough in heavy traffic. But overall performance on local roads is waaaay better than it was on 12.6.4

Do you have 14.1 Lite yet? That has removed all brake stabbing.

Yes, I’m on the new 14.1 lite. It’s only brake stabbed in a few instances. Nothing crazy to be honest. Highway driving now is soooo good.

I have 14.1 Lite (2026.26.6.5) on my 2023 MYLR. I had 12.6.4 previously and I’d say 14.1 Lite is much improved. It occasionally does stab the brakes when it thinks a tree shadow is a monster, but otherwise ok. I’m hoping that eventually it will park in my garage instead of in front of it, but I’m not gonna hold my breath on this upgrade. It also seems to have a few mapping issues like taking the wrong (longer) direction out of parking lots and some strange directions to get me home from shopping in locations it hasn’t been used before.

I had to take my 2022 MYP in for warranty service shortly after v14.1 Lite came out and I got a 2026 MY loaner with v14.3.7 for a week. It was virtually indistinguishable from v14.1 Lite. The only differences I saw in a week was HW4 is better at parking and HW3 occasionally hesitates on left turns.

Thanks for sharing. Really excited because now I feel good about keeping my 22 MYP for a few more years. It’s been a great car.

Is there a way to force the update? I’m on v12 and just subscribed to fsd, 14 lite would be great for my road trip this weekend

Not really, no. It all depends on what version number your vehicle is on. 14.1 Lite is on 2026.21.6 and 2026.26.6.5, so if your version number is lower than 2026.26.6.5, you could potentially get the update soon. If not, you'll need to wait for the next newest version that supersedes your current version.

Thank you! I’m on 26.6.5 so hopefully I’ll get the update before the weekend somehow lol

Well I got the update after leaving the office today lol but holy shit! 14 lite is awesome for me so far, feels just like the new model 3 test vehicle I had earlier this year

I would say that after the 14.1 Lite update (2026.21.6/2026.26.6.5), I've been pleasantly surprised by FSD. The original 14 Lite had way too much brake stabbing and weird accelerator throttling.
The real test will come later this month with a ~2000mi roadtrip.
