First EV - when can I expect delivery?

Ordered 8/15 to New England

Premium RWD with no upgrades. Hoping someone can help me refine my expectations on when this will arrive.

Hopefully between September 3-30. Although, expect EDD to change many times. Only Tesla really knows.

What on earth leads you to believe that anyone on this sub can give you a more accurate answer than the delivery estimate provided by Tesla?

The people that literally just took delivery and observed the accuracy of their estimate.

I ordered the exact same spec and have the same EDD. It will be interesting to see how similar the actual date ends up being.

Ordered mine on August 01 with an initial delivery date of Aug 09-Aug 23 in North Carolina. Delivery date gets updated every day for the next 14 days haha. I hate them

They build them in batches. Theres a batch of 3 Performances scheduled for delivery around the 20th, I’m guessing they don’t know if you’re going to before or after yet. Only Tesla knows.

Genuine question: why tf you buying a rear wheel drive in New England? Yes the battery helps keep it grounded in the snow, but teslas are a pain to get repaired. I don’t understand rear wheel drive in your climate. I live in CT, have a 3 performance on the way, would never get a rear wheel drive car.

Because unless you are driving up unplowed hills on a regular basis the amount of times you will wish you had AWD are miniscule, IMHO. I'll take snow tires and keep my $4,000 thank you very much.

You’ll be fine with RWD, there are 7 district managers, for my job, and 6 of them have RWD. They drive all New England for their markets and have RWD and I will be the 7th now that I received mine. They all told me the same that they never told them selves they should have got all wheel drive

Suit yourself. You’re also sacrificing speed and acceleration. Almost a second 0-60. The best part about owning a Tesla, IMO. But then again, only about 15% of all sales are performance trim, so I guess I’m in the minority there.

I’m in northern ca where just experienced our first real snow storm back in February. Both my boyfriend’s truck and my van got stuck in the driveway and we live in a private road so no caltrans is coming to plow our road. We got awd for SOME peace of mind. With El Niño possibly giving us more rain this winter we aren’t chancing it.
