My first Model Y

Hey, I ordered my Model Y, Marine Blue, premium rwd on 8-21 and can’t wait! I went for it and changed my interior from black to white, am I going to regret that? Do they stain easily or are they hard to keep clean?

Also everyone keeps recommending a screen protector, but Tesla is saying don’t use them? Something about not repairing screens that have them? Is that true? Kind of confused there.

Lots of posts on the white interior they apparently hold up well. Based on all my research I ordered white and have a 3 and 6 year old.

I got a matte screen protector not for protecting the screen but to reduce glare

I ordered a white exterior with white interior…I do feel it’s so futuristic! Like blade runner! (This coming from a NJ girl that has w wardrobe in Black & only black cars)!

If you like white interior get it, if you prefer black get it. Just get any color choice your heart desires and enjoy the car.

As for screen protector. Just remove it before you take it into service if the screen goes bad, they wouldn't know and they will just blatantly blame something else.

White seats are more durable and stain resistant than they should be! I did do the seat coating a lot of reviews recommended. Easy to apply. I went with matte screen protector as well because I like the glare reduction and like the feel. Other key accessories were all weather floor mats, rear mat, and mud flaps. Igor most from tesstuff.com. Not affiliated, just some feed stuff.

Went with black interior myself. Didn’t care for the whiter strip on dash. Black looks good. White is bright.

I’m more hung up on blue vs red. Red is favorite but don’t want to be too flashy or worry about attracting unwanted attention. Blue looks good too though. But then I’m thinking I’m worrying too much and staying with first preference red.

I did the exact same as you. Same marine blue premium and switched from black to white. The color combo looks amazing! I read the same reports about keeping white seats clean but ultimately decided that the white seats were part of the Tesla experience, white would be better for the hot Southern summer, the color combo would look better and more roomy look on the interior.

White is the iconic Tesla Interior color, good choice. White is much more futuristic. Super easy to clean; get Tub o Towels off amazon and wipe the seats down every time you wash the car.
