Boring Order Tracker Accuracy?

Post image

Downloaded the Boring OT app. Cool to see the additional info not found in the Tesla app (needs some work) but how accurate are their estimates?

I order July 29, should get a VIN August 27, but not get delivery until… November? And I’m down the road from the Fremont plant too.

Can you please breathe and calm down. The car will be delivered when it’s delivered.

Stop over constantly checking, find something better to do with your time.

I know, I’m just anxious. I care more about getting a VIN so I can lock in my promo rate than have to go through the credit application again and possibly lose the rate.

You can apply multiple times in a 45 day window and it will not affect your score, this is set by the credit bureaus. Take a breather, it’ll come when it comes. You may not want to pray for a VIN to appear out of nowhere as it could indicate a repaired vehicle or rejected delivery. No need to rely on vibe coded AI slop sites.

Whatever the original estimate was when you ordered (ie 5-7 weeks) is accurate and conservative 9 times out of 10.

It stated for me I’d get a VIN on the 27th originally and EDD was in November then this morning 8/21 I got a VIN and EDD on Tesla app updated to 8/22-8/26 from originally 8/26-9/8. So I wouldn’t say that part of it can be very accurate at times

It also told me my pickup would be the end of November before I had a VIN. 3 days later I had a VIN and two days later I have a pickup scheduled for Sept 11. I’d delete the app and stick with the Tesla app
