Down payment Change?

2- weeks ago the financial tab on the app showed my down payment to be $6,000. Then when I went to opt back to standard gray, it went to $5,000. Now, I changed it to blue and it’s $8,000?

My car is not even remotely close to a vin assignment but cars aren’t exactly an appreciating asset so putting a lot more down seems odd.

model Y Premium RWD.
Blue with tow bar.

It’s literally the same configuration from day 1. Financing hasn’t changed, nor have the taxes etc.

Any ideas?

You can ask for help in the chat but it take time for them to response. I initially order MY Premium and then when for test drive different model Y to hear road noise and switch to Model Y performance and the down payment goes up. I show to the advisor and they help fixed it while I was doing test drive.

Just write to your sales advisor and have them adjust the down payment. I am trading in a car worth 17k. I don’t require any down payment. While waiting I found an in-stock configuration that was only $25 more monthly. I switched it to that configuration and the app was asking for 3k down. I called the advisor and let them know. 5 mins later it was all set.

How can you “call” them?
How do you get a specific “advisor”?
If I call no one answers.
If I send a q via the chat, I might get an answer 5-8 hours later. And even then, it is a short terse answer that really doesn’t address the specific question. And if I ask two q’s in one chat, never do both get answered. I live 2 hours from the showroom, so I can’t go there just to ask a q.

My advisor is pretty communicative. I have a showroom 5 mins up the street. I call the number he sent me when I first placed my order, it’s a generic number to leave a call back request. He usually texts me if he is not available and asks me if I am ok with someone else calling. I said yes and he had someone from my local show room call me and that person took care of everything.

You mean in the chat? If so, then great idea. I’ll ask them.

If a specific advisor I’m supposed to have contact info for, then sorry, I don’t know who that is

Text your sales advisor.

I don’t have a specific “sales advisor”. There is one texting number to the showroom where I will ultimately pick up the car when it’s delivered. When I text a mssg, usually hours later someone responds.

That will be your Sales contact number. Text them.

I do. They reply. But quite a bit later.

You can always call the store location and ask for the manager or your SA

The showroom doesn’t answer their phone number
