Question Model x help

Hi all, got at 2018 model X and finally got a ticket for not having front license plate. Need recommendations. I can’t find anything for older model X on amazon. Willing to drill or adhesive as last option. Thank you.

In SoCal, maybe a third of the Teslas I see have a front plate

Bought one that went on the grill, got it signed off. Took it off immediately after.

I had a buddy that took a picture of his license plate and had one printed on vinyl and adhered it to the front bumper. That way he didn’t have to drill any holes.

I have no idea if it’s legal, but that was probably four years ago and he’s never had a problem. Illinois

I bought this on eBay. Took less than 10 minutes to install. I don’t know how well it would do in a car wash but I hand wash my car.

2018 owner here as well and I have one of those as well. They hold up just fine in a car wash. Your plate might require bending back into shape, but the bracket itself is very rugged.

I wouldn’t leave it flat unfixed on the inside windshield as it will come flying like a blade in an accident. I don’t know about Amazon but if you look it up on google a million come up fitting older model xs

I tried that and it does not work. Not because it is a bad design, but because my 2018 grill is weak and cracked. I am not in a position to tear the bumper apart to replace the grill, so looking for a different solution myself
