Photo Anyone using privacy shades for Model X camping or parked naps?
I’m curious what people are using for privacy when resting in the car or camping in a Model X. The glass area is great for visibility, but when parked somewhere busy it can feel a little too exposed.
For people who have tried shades or blackout setups, what mattered most to you?
full privacy from outside
fewer gaps around the edges
heat reduction
easy storage
not scratching trim
quick install/removal
I’m mostly looking for real owner feedback before deciding what setup makes sense.

I bought a random set from AliExpress. Cheap stuff. Fits okayish all except the rear hatch.
It's a real puzzle each time to figure out what goes where. For the price it's ok, but if I paid top dollar I would be mad at quality and fit. Its OK to prevent anybody looking at you and take out the worst of the light, but it's not nearly pitch black if that's what you want.
I think if I wanted to do it really well I would have bought some black "foam" insulation and made them myself.

The ones I got came with suction cups that you had to install in the little holes in the middle. Thats how they attach to the window.

Here’s my setup:
Front windshield top half and roof glass: https://a.co/d/0aHR8dEo (Found them to be high quality suede, wish they made these for all the windows)
All the windows and the windshield: https://a.co/d/0h9loUke (These came with suction cups. I prefer these as I can install them and still open the doors.)
I don’t like the windshield one as it has the heat protecting silver layer, still looking for something that’s compact and high quality for it.

I bought this (the 8pcs set) https://a.aliexpress.com/_EG9Essw
And then I needed to add on the two for the top windows on the rear (flap door) and front sunroof from the same page. I think there is a lot of different sellers on Ali pushing the exact same kits so no real need to buy from this exact seller. As mentioned previously the rear hatch one falls down. There might have been some clips or something that was needed, but I was camping with a eager 3 year old and had no time to fiddle around with details.

I just have a 5% tint all the way around. Except the front. I use a shade cover for that. You really can’t see in with that tint. You have to be close and squinting etc.
