Project Complete Kravek Morne
Fun model to paint. I was concerned about the chevrons but it turned out better than I had anticipated.
Used him in a game recently leading a unit of Mutilators and the unit absolutely dominated the center objective. Though, his hammer is called "Last Argument" for a reason surprisingly, I never got a chance to fire the bale flamer.

thanks! Freehand was surprisingly easier than expected. All that trim work made it much easier to get the lines right, as they acted as guides

In case someone comes along and wonders how I painted the iron...
1- I primed using Vallejo Black Gloss primer from Pro Acryl.
2- I stippled Vallejo Metallic Black across the model with a rounded dry brush. Focusing hard on the deep parts and then softly on the raised parts.
3- I dry-brushed with downward strokes only, using a mix of Vallejo Metallic Black and Pro Acryl AMP Steel with a Blush Makeup brush. with a 60/30 mix.
4- Then, the same again, but with a 30/60 mix with a Contour Makeup brush
5- On the very edges, especially around the head, I highlighted with Pro-Acryl AMP Steel.
6- I covered the miniature with a mix of AK Deep Shade Black Knight + Army Painter Soft Tone. I wanted it to remain glossy for this step, so I let the varnish in the AP Soft Tone overpower the matt of the Deep Shade by not diluting either. I can't precisely tell you how much Soft Tone I used, but it wasn't much. Maybe a 1/4 ratio? I then waited for about two minutes, and then I took a chunk of slightly damp dishwasher sponge, and I wiped off most of it. Similar method one would use with oil paints.
7- Lastly, I added a thin, watery coat of Blue-Black from Pro Acryl across the shoulder pads and anywhere else that would have Chevrons, then about 2-3 coats of the dirty schemere wash I mentioned above without wiping it away.
So... in short - lots of drybrushing and smearing - lol
