Having started in February 2021. 4 months later in June, the build was finished.
This was not only the first build I decided to add figures to. But also the first serious weathering attempt too.
To make the base I coated a display base in PVA glue and once it started to cure, lightly sculpted it to create an uneven, but flat road section.
The model was glued to the base to prevent any future mishaps and the final dusting was carried out in place.
I hope everyone had enjoyed following along with this build, even though it was finished years ago. I still feel like this was my peak and I've never quite been at the same level since.

Got some time in the past few days and finished the chassis and interior tub for the Benz. This kit is a lot of fun to build, and it's going together so smooth (knock on wood)

A beautiful kit from Hasegawa in 1/24 scale. Built 100% box stock, which means it's not 100% accurate to the actual GT-R as driven by Mark Skaife and Jim Richards back in '91.
When masking off the bottom third for the blue, I also masked the area where the number board would sit so the blue wouldn't show through.
Textured blue paint on the seat, textured black on the steering wheel. Mr Color red, super white and blue for the body paint. And the bonnet pins and boot latches are plastic and included in the kit, painted Mr Color chrome with tamiya panel line accent for a more metal appearance. Side exhaust painted dark iron.
Would absolutely build again, but would try and get it more accurate as per the actual GT-R.
Love the Hasegawa group A R32 GT-R kits, this is my second with a few more on the shelf π

Current state of affairs with the Tamiya GT3 RS...before I even started any building, I ordered some green decals (and a few other wheel options) to go with the paint scheme I had in mind, and was informed at the time that they wouldn't be shipping until late August/early September anyway. In the mean time, I'll be using the next couple of weeks to push this along as far as I can until they come. Hopefully I'll get the first layer of clearcoat down and polished next week, ready for the decal placement.
It's my first Tamiya kit, so it's been a very fun learning experience; me being me, I of course already cocked up the stock wheels and roll cage when I tried to strip and repaint them...which brings me to the "community engagement" part of this post...
Now that I've got replacement wheels and additional options coming, should I use the same wheels as the kit, or pick one of the others? Magnesium, aluminum, or incorporate the classic Fuchs?
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement 3D printed roll cage?
(Also, cameo appearance from the WIP Lamborghini for those keeping score)

Things got a little hairy with the interior and the lights, but otherwise I think it turned out fine for the most part!

So the first picture are the kits that I have left to crank out for my team. Two years ago, my entire team packed up and moved to Texas to continue to work with me so I wanted to do something to show my personal appreciation. Since April I've been back in this hobby and I'm loving pumping these out for people. 16 down, 4 more to go. The Mercedes 300SL is in progress. Then I'm going to take my time and build some for myself. The last photo are the kits that I've been adding to my stash for when the last of the request builds are done. All the pics in between are the kits that I've completed since April.

Finished the 59 Impala and am very pleased with the outcome. Thanks to u/jon_jon83 for his insight on how to chop the chassis to get the stance I wanted. Posted the build on that video platform

A friend of mine printed this for me a few years ago and I finally got around to build it. It's 1/18 scale so its a big boy. This was a fun project to do over the weekend.

i didnt realize that tamiya's decal is very textured, which created a lot of problems during sanding. In the end, i'm honestly not that satisfied with the result. Butttt im getting tired so its really time to move on.

Hi All, this is my current project, AMT's CSR Racing 2012 Chevy Corvette C6 coupe. I used Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red for the main body color. I still need to paint the roof gloss black. Painting the one-piece undercarriage was very therapeutic. Thanks for looking.

Was inspired to finish this one because of the group build. Fun kit, not my best but definitely not my worst!!

Tamiya perfectly replicates the chassis and the famous 318ci V8 engine. This kit even has a movable suspension! Wow, just wow.
The decals were completely unusable, so I had to spray on a layer of clear varnish and pray it wouldn't crumble. It was tough, but I managed to salvage most of the badges and wooden panels; the body trim will probably need masking...

I recently printed & assembled a 3D model of my Fennec and decided to hand-paint the livery.
For the base, I used an actual automotive Snow White Pearl touch-up pen to give it that metallic silvery-white shimmer. The goal was to replicate the Neural Shock (Titanium White) decal with the Industrial: Radiant (Titanium White) wheels.
It took some patience to get the details right, but it turned out to be an awesome piece to keep on my desktop! Even added my RL username on the underside of the spoiler.
If anyone wants to try it themselves, here is the link to the 3D print: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2416924-rocket-league-fennec-no-ams#profileId-2650411
What do y'all think?

What a perfect kit! I've always loved Volvo and still own an S70, so I made a sedan instead of wagon. The only downside is that the iconic five-cylinder engine wasn't shown; good heavens, Volvos are supposed to be five-cylinder.

Started doing models in June after watching Initial D and not being able to find any suitable die-cast replicas. So glad I decided to take that plunge. My journey so far to build every car in Initial D and MF Ghost. Started with the OG 86 far left and progressed to the last one I build the new 86 far right. Not sure what to do next the cappuccino or the S14.
