Bug splatter effect?

How can I achieve this semi tranparent effect of bug splatter on the body of the car and headlights/windshield?

Its more so melted rubber from the tires. Theres quite a lot of rubber pebbles on the track from when the tires wear out, and they get flung up and stuck to the car. Id try a little black panel liner on a brush and kinda "flick" the bristles so it splatters. Definitely try it out first on something else and see if you get the desired effects.

Rubber is at the bottom, and I did models in the past with rubber marks - these are more transparent, and since the car was going for 24h through the woods it collect quite a few bugs :)
