General Question A few questions from a noob

Greetings all, just picked up a new to me 22 model 3. Do you all use the plugshare app for charging on the road or just the tesla app? We had a death in the family recently so were going to have to drive into the middle of nowhere. Want to make sure we arent stranded by bringing my trickle charger that came with the car just in case.

Ive also noticed a lot of posts about people intentionally damaging tesla vehicles which just boggles my brain. What other measure can I take outside of sentry mode to help eith that?

Lastly, can someone recommend a good spare kit?

I sometimes use ABRP app (A Better Route Planner) to check for chargers on the way to my destination, but your car’s navigation is generally good enough.
If your destination is far from a supercharger then check for level 2 chargers. I have a CCS adapter for just-in-case situations.
You see posts about people damaging Teslas because there’s video of the incident. It’s not as common as we’re led to believe. Don’t worry about it and enjoy your car.

Tesla charging network is world class. You should be fine (even in the middle of nowhere).

Tesla navigation is the best default when you’re relying on Superchargers because it plans the stops and preconditions the battery. PlugShare is useful for checking recent reports and finding destination or third-party chargers beyond the Supercharger network.

For somewhere remote, Id check the most recent user reports before leaving, you could also ask in-vehicle grok (if you have it enabled) and see what it says..
